Don't get me wrong, I don't hate DeviantArt. If that was the case, I would be long gone. I enjoy art which is uploaded on DeviantArt every day and it's a friendly community. Not to mention the other paraphilias that make their way here like zoophilia, incest, necrophilia, etc. Not to mention those who use DA as a haven to avoid bans from tumblr. As for art theft, unfortunately some people put "content I don't agree with" into the category of art theft. Or they take it upon themselves to define what is and isn't "art". And anything else that doesn't fit into their narrow definition of "art" is therefore "art theft". However, I have dealt with a real art thief so I know what real art theft is.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I don't have anything against nudity, sexual art, or even some fetishes but this is suppose to be a public art website for teens to adults who specialize in all kinds of art regardless of medium they do like traditional art or digital art but also animation, sculpting, or costume designs. But there is also the fact I see perverts taking pictures of their genitals; many nasty fetishes making up the website like inflation or women with breasts the size of a house; there are so many fandoms like My Little Pony being popular while people who do original art are ignored; art thieves are rampant stealing art; trolls and cyberbullies are causing trouble in comments; too many innocent artists are getting blocked and banned; and child porn of underage characters from different works of fiction like the Powerpuff Girls and Naruto. Do these creeps even know that minors are on DeviantArt or what they are posting is illegal and disgusting because it should be in a Rule 34 website like Pornhub? I don't want any minors get nightmares because of these fetishes or mimic them but also giving the website a bad reputation unless they want to get sued and have the FBI have them arrested.

What do you think of those whose definition of art theft is "content I don't agree with"? And then make it their mission to "purge" deviantart of all content they don't agree with? The art thief I have dealt with is Shelby Stubblefield. She would steal other people's work to edit them to re-post here or to other sites. She's deactivated along with her friend and accomplice, Summer Kearney. SophieMuto has more information about both of them. Shelby is still stealing content from DA and other sites to re-post to yet other sites. I have a journal about Shelby titled What I have learned about YamiLovesYugi654. That was one of her accounts when she was here on DA. And she is still harassing a member here on DA from other sites.

Which? Those who classify "content I don't agree with" as "art theft" and make it their mission to "purge" DA of all content they don't agree with? Or the real art thief Shelby Stubblefield? Here's my journal about her. What I have learned about YamiLovesYugi so far . I have a folder here www.deviantart.com/marysue1964… with some images from her YamiLovesYugi1969 account that still need to be identified and the original artists contacted. I contacted one of the artists here on DA but that artist has not responded. SophieMuto posted a collage here of images Shelby stole from DA and other sites to re-post to yet other sites where the images need to be identified and the original artists contacted.

Shelby and her friend and accomplice, Summer are both deactivated from deviantart. But Shelby still continues to harass a member here on DA on other sites. And is most likely still stealing images from DA and other sites to re-post to yet other sites. Also, she bullied another member so badly that the member attempted suicide. She survived but is still suffering from the attempt. It would be up to her family to press charges against Shelby but they have declined to do so as they are more concerned about taking care of their still suffering family member.

I think one mistake the DA admins are making is that they are assuming that everyone on here are professional artists who are using DA to advertise their work. I'm sure some are but not everyone on here is. I'm sure many people on here are just here to look at the art presented and comment on it and interact with members. Many more are here to have fun posting content as well as have fun interacting with other members. I'm sure commercial artists will need all the new features eclipse provides in order to build professional "portfolios" in order to get more exposure. Features that are specifically for that membership aren't going to appeal to everyone else who isn't interested in "advertising" themselves.

And eclipse makes the interacting part more difficult too by eliminating some forms of interaction or making it more difficult to access some forms of interaction. Then once you are actually able to provide some form of written interaction, eclipse makes it practically unreadable.
