Description
Continuing my work on the Knight Rider book artwork, I created the famous "switch pod" from the tv series in painstaking detail from scratch in photoshop.

This is the right side switch pod with the infamous "TURBO BOOST" button, which I found more interesting to do then the left switch pod.

I wanted to get things as accurate as possible and discovered that the font for the numbers and the text are vastly different from one another.

I used several stills as reference to keep things as accurate as possible, rather then relying on replica photos and whatnot. Straight off dvd screen captures so I could get the colors and spacing right, although I decided not to keep some of the glaring defect for showman purposes.

Notice the little details like the reflections of the lights off the beveled plastic frame of each button and the darkened red LED bulb when not all the lights are on.
