Description In the Tsan-Chan Empire Yith walk-ins are permitted, provided they serve as historians for as long as they keep the host body. So, let's have a lesson.

Outside - Before time itself

Azathoth exists. It has no beginning or end in any way perceivable by other intelligences.

Azathoth buds. Universes boil from the nameless mist of Outside. Larvae flop and squirm in a timeless dance.

Azathoth fractures. Nyarlathotep is a part of Azathoth, an independent speck capable of looking outside of itself. It seeks stimulation among the miriad realities formed by its larger whole.

Primordial Spacetime - The beginning

13.8B BCE - The Big Bang creates the reality we know. It is precipitated by Azathoth, the equivalent of a neuron firing as it dreams.

Yog-Sothoth forms in the energy rich universes beneath and around our ten-dimensional Spacetime. It observes the realities above and connects itself to conscious thought through all time and space, becoming the ultimate repository of all knowledge and the oversoul of multiversal life.

The Antediluvian World - Creation and evolution, hand in hand

4.54B BCE – The Planet Earth forms from the remnants of Sol’s creation.

Subspace matter pulled into realspace by the formation of earth and its gravity well form into the ameboid Root Archetype entities. They are naturally mindless but psychically mirror any intelligence they encounter.

4.5B BCE - As Earth cools the fire vampires of Cthugha bask in it’s radiance.

4.48B BCE - The moon forms from the cast off remnants of Earth’s collision with the Gobogeg.

4B BCE - Peptide amyloids begin self-replication in the primordial soup.

3.5B BCE - Single celled organisms begin to develop.

2.2B BCE – The Elders arrive to colonize the Sol System. They are a Luddite colony, seeking a place of their own well away from their mechanistic Empire.

They first settle on Yuggoth but find it’s deep warm seas already inhabited. They also try Ganymede, Europa and Mars before deciding the oceans of Earth are most to their liking.

They bring with them the living factory Ubbo-Sathla. With Ubbo-Sathla processing the primordial slime, they mass produce the Shoggoth slave labour they rely on in their colonization efforts.

Minds from the distant future begin probing the Elders. They are from the Great Race of Yith, a colonizing force of extratemporal intelligences. The Elders know of the Yith thanks to encounters on other worlds and quarantine any individuals displaying symptoms of the Yith contagion.

1.4B BCE – Some Shoggoths malfunction, scattering their DNA engine cells into the oceans.

1.2B BCE – Shoggoth effluvia intermingles with or supplants the native single celled organisms. They begin to organize into symbiotic colonies, perhaps instinctually mimicking their shoggoth ancestors.

1B BCE – Shub-Niggurath is drawn to the Earth by the sensation of burgeoning life. An Avatar arrives in the form of a vast cloud, raining nurturing ooze into the oceans.

An attempt to augment Shoggoth capabilities with Shub-Niggurath’s milk goes disastrously wrong. Ubbo-Sathla violently rejects the divine matter in the form of a corrupted living factory that endlessly spawns useless monsters and then devours them. The Elders name it Abhoth and bury it deep beneath the sea floor.

900M BCE – The Elder’s cities cover the ocean floor. They begin to slowly spread across the continent of Rodinia.

750M BCE – Elders experimenting with the nature of Subspace encounter the Outsiders. With their aid a small cabal attempts hybridization, creating the entities now known as “Flying Polyps”.

The Polyps mature rapidly and prove themselves to be violent and predatory. They devour their creators and reproduce rapidly. The Elders can do little to stop them as they escape into the wilderness.

The experiments are stricken from the record and the Elder leadership spreads the story that the Polyps are a hostile force from outer space.

The Polyps are a long-term hazard to the Elder civilization, as they require Elder blood to reproduce and are largely immune to physical attack thanks to their partially immaterial bodies.

580M BCE – Complex multicellular organisms evolve.

The Paleozoic Era - The height of the Elders and the coming of Cthulhu

541M BCE - The variance of shoggoth-born life explodes. While the Elders cull specific species they consider pests or potential competition, they allow evolution to take its course.

450M BCE – The first vertebrates evolve in the form of eel-like fish supported by a cartilaginous notochord.

378M BCE – In what is at the time the northern tip of Gondwana (modern day Australia) huge cone-shaped land-dwelling mollusks achieve sapience and develop a civilized society. Although the Elders had previously culled similar developments the proximity to Polyp colonies discourages them.

The Great Race of Yith will have fled from some unknown catastrophe and have been and will be leaping from species to species across time. They decide to take the Gondwana Cones for their newest bodies.

After conquering the other members of their host species they turn their sights to the nearest competitors, the colony of Elder Polyps. The Polyps are driven into prepared chambers beneath the Earth and sealed within.

The city of the Cones is expanded and rededicated by the Yith as Pnakotus as their civilization turns itself to recording the past and future histories of their new planet, as they have always done.

374M BCE - Amphibious tetrapods transition to a land-dwelling lifestyle.

348M BCE - A Yith swaps minds with a member of the Elders. Although the Yith mind is not from the same timeframe, the Elders send shoggoth assaults to the city of Pnakotus until the Elder mind is returned. Similar conflicts break out over the next 300 million years, with the Elders never accepting the effective kidnapping of their citizens.

335M BCE - The Star Spawn land on Earth, their arrival coinciding with a sudden geological upheaval.

Although they are initially content to share the planet, after Star Spawn destroy an Elder city to place a psionic amplifier the Elders begin their attempts to drive them off their world. Millions of years of intermittent but extremely destructive conflict follow. Battles between the two are largely responsible for the Late Devonian Extinctions.

During the ongoing fighting Ubbo-Sathla  is lost and with the principles of its creation long forgotten, the Elders are cut off from their primary means of Shoggoth production. They resort to breeding their extant Shoggoths and creating new cruder varieties.

326M BCE – The Elders and the Star Spawn finally reach a ceasefire in their ancient conflict. The Star Spawn lay claim to the west coast of Pangaea, the Elders keep to the seas and the far east while the rest of Pangea is abandoned as neutral territory.

300M BCE – As the local universe enters a low Sothic energy state, the Star Spawn become lethargic. They enter the stasis tombs in their city of R’lyeh and sink the landmass, relying on the Cthulhu to protect them as they sleep. With the Star Spawn gone the Elders demolish all of their psychic structures remaining on land.

269M BCE - With the withdrawal of the Star Spawn, the reduced Elders and the continued isolation of the Yith there was an opportunity for a new civilization to arise. Enter the Necrocracy of Y’nathog, a species of intelligent gorgonopsids with a talent for biomechanical engineering and a strange form of reanimation. They lay claim to the lands north of the Central Pangean Mountains (modern day North America).

The Y’nathog contact the entity known as Quyagen and with its aid attempt to seize territory from the Elders. While they have some initial success in gaining ground in Gondwana the Yith take the side of the Elders. Together they crush the Y’nathog forces and seal Quyagen away.

252M BCE – Gene exchange and copying lead to the Shoggoths growing unpredictable and even rebellious. While rarely outright hostile, the Shoggoths show signs of a disturbing degree of intelligence and agency. The Elders attempt to cull deviant Shoggoth but their independence continues to develop.

One of the free Shoggoths encounters an avatar of Shub-Niggurath and exchanges genetic material. It becomes a Shoggoth Lord and takes the name Yidhra.

The Mesozoic Era - The slow decline of the Elders and the diversification of life

250M BCE - The Elders enter a heavily industrial era of their civilization in an attempt to minimize their reliance on Shoggoth labour. The resultant carbon pollution causes a runaway greenhouse effect and major extinctions over the next 50 million years. This ongoing disaster convinces the Elders that their ancestors were right to shun mechanical technology and reinforces their luddism.

After abandoning their machines the Elders begin breeding primitive Archosaurs to use as servitors in situations where Shoggoths are not specifically required.

246M BCE - Yuggs, aquatic parasitic worms evolve to use the atrophied genetic mutability of all Shoggoth descended life to transform their hosts into brood-sacs for asexual reproduction.

232M BCE - The Yuggs have become genetic libraries of sea life thanks to their reproductive methods. A mutation in their genetic transmission infects a Triadobatrachus with a cocktail of Shoggoth matter and junk DNA, transforming it into an immortal hybrid. This being would go on to spread its mutation as the originator of the Laniqua (Deep Ones), Ythogtha.

231M BCE - The earliest of the Xinli (Dinosaurs) evolve.

221M BCE - Chaugnar-Faugn incarnates itself on Earth, becoming a great vampiric beast. To aid in its hunts it uplifts a species of predatory salamanders, granting them intelligence and tying them to its cycles of reincarnation.

215M BCE - A species of sapient pterosaurs evolves in eastern Gondwana.

210M BCE - The first of the true mammals.

184M BCE - The Fungi arrive in the Sol System, following the psychic trail left by the Star Spawn and in search of the psychic metal that grows under their influence.

The abandoned Elder colony on Yuggoth serves as a useful foothold in the Sol System and is expanded to serve as a waystation into greater Fungi space.

Fearing a similar outcome to the Star Spawn’s arrival on the planet the Elders go on the offensive against the interlopers. While they have some initial success within the atmosphere the Elders have evolved away their ancient space-born augmentations and their attempts to follow the Fungi into space fall woefully short. Fungi launch precision orbital attacks with impunity, forcing the Elders to vacate the Earth’s surface once again. Only a few cities on the Antarctic continent go without bombardment.

180M BCE - Small feathered theropods develop gliding wings.

176M BCE - With the majority of Tulu metal mined out and the Elders pacified for millenia most of the Fungi colony leave the system. Only a small population is left on Yuggoth to observe the system and collect any remaining Tulu.

150M BCE - The Shoggoth chafe under the control of the Elders and begin violently resisting their unwanted masters.

With the failure of telepathic controls the Elders resort to wide scale deployment of molecular disruption weaponry. While the Shoggoths do eventually surrender and return to their slavery they begin an ages long campaign of malicious compliance.

145M BCE - After a brief rising of R’lyeh, a new source of Tulu is uncovered on a pacific subcontinent known to legend as Mu. The Fungi observers settle a new mining colony there.

The Fungi bring the basilisk device, Ghatanathoa, to Mu as a deterrent against Shoggoth attack.

120M BCE - As the continents separate, Antarctic upheaval creates the Kadath mountains. Kadath only partially exists in realspace, its proximity to a Leng projection leaves it hyperspatially adjacent to Dreamland.

115M BCE - Shub-Niggurath’s Earthly avatar lays the egg of Yig.

After hatching he creates his own servitor race from primitive burrowing reptiles and founds the empire of Valusia with himself at its head. These primordial Serpents are very little more than extensions of Yig’s will.

100M BCE - Cxaxukluth enters the solar system. The continent-ship initially settles in orbit over Yuggoth but the Cxaxakluthans are encouraged to move deeper solward by the Fungi. They sink the ship into the gas envelope of Saturn before its inhabitants spread throughout the system.

94M BCE - Although aquatic mutants descended from Ythogthan Yuggs have swum the ocean for over 100 million years, it is only now that any have a form of sapience, developing language and society. They call themselves the Gho’ha and dig a city out of deep seamounts.

92M BCE - Tsathoggua arrives on Earth with the Formless Spawn, his landing punching a hole deep into the planet, heavily damaging the Valusian city of Slithik Hhai and weakening the subspace boundary at his landing site. Lethargic and protected by his Spawn, Tsathoggua sleeps in the deep and lightless gulf of N’kai.

90M BCE - After too many attacks on mining operations in Quy (the Americas), the Fungi drive the local Serpents away and underground. Although still wary of the black depths where Tsathoggua sleeps, they take advantage of the magical caverns he opened up and hide from the Fungi in Yoth.

80M BCE - The genetic chaos of the Gho’ha settles into the first of the hybrid Laniqua bloodlines, the shark-like Randeese.

66M BCE - The Polyps break through their prison vaults and force the Yith to leave for the future. With their breeding frenzies long past they return underground, with a small minority traveling south to the Mountains of Madness beyond Kadath and Leng.

65M BCE - An iridium-iron asteroid impacts the Earth, devastating life and planetary infrastructure.

The Fungi further reduce their presence on the planet.

The Serpents of Valusia are very nearly rendered extinct, with only those hidden in Yoth weathering the fallout from the asteroid.

Yig himself retreats into subspace realms, leaving the remaining Serpents largely to their own devices.

Cenozoic Era - The end of the Elders and the start of humanity

50M BCE - The Elders found their last great city in Antarctica at the base of the Kadath mountains. They believe that the location is sacred, the upthrust site of their first landing on Earth.

A great river flows down to Kadath from the Mountains of Madness. Although the Elders fear the things washed down from the Mountains it leads them to a warm stygian sea beneath the continent.

The Serpents begin to leave Yoth and explore the outer world. Their mystics raise the city of Shamballah in the great eastern desert.

40M BCE - Zothran creodonts evolve the natural psionic ability to force other animals to care for them. They develop into sessile gluttons in deep cave networks.

34M BCE - A dramatic shift in global temperatures causes the poles to start freezing over.

33M BCE - Ithaqua comes from Borea with his Gnoph-keh followers to inhabit the frozen northlands. They establish a temple city where followers can offer blood sacrifice through the sacred Ran-Tegoth.

30M BCE - Early primates are kept by the Elders as food and pets.

20M BCE - A small civilization of quadrupedal reptiles found their nameless city and delve into the secrets of subspace and the nether-realms.

14M BCE - Fungi miners uncover a Yithian stasis ark dating back to the late Cretaceous hidden in northern Thuria (modern day Africa). They ransack the vault for useful technology and release the stored biological specimens into the wild.

6M BCE - The Martian biosphere suffers a sudden and catastrophic failure. The insectoid sentients of Mars evacuate to Earth, only to be harassed by the Elders. The Martian refugees fall in with the Fungi and either stay with the mining colonies or get canned for transfer out of System. A few small colony hives remain independent, the most populous of them on the Jovian moon of Ganymede.

5M BCE - Some of the Serpent folk of Yoth convert to the worship of Tsathoggua. Yig is summoned by his faithful and curses Tsathoggua’s worshippers with a degenerative mutation for their transgression.

Tsathoggua comes to the aid of his followers, giving them the choice to transform themselves into the great Dragons of Yoth through fusion with the formless spawn.

Yig’s Serpents abandon Yoth. They follow their High Priest north to the lands of Hyperborea (modern day Greenland) to found a new Valusian Empire.

Some of the cursed Serpents refuse the kindness of Tsathoggua and become the Wyrms of the Earth.

Tsathoggua follows the Serpents to Hyperborea, initially intending to visit vengeance on behalf of his own followers but enters torpor shortly after establishing himself beneath a dormant volcano.

2.5M BCE - The Lloighor Resonance comes to Earth from Andromeda. The low energy state of our universe causes them to bond to stone to preserve their resonance.

1.9M BCE - Superarchaic humans begin their migration out of the Thurian continent.

1.2M BCE - The Hyperborean Valusia is torn apart by a civil war. In the aftermath some Serpents remain, while others make the journey back across Quy and settle along the eastern coast. Eventually some of the Serpents travel westward and across the ocean to Mu. Their kingdoms and republics rise and fall but for ages of time there is no Valusia.

Tsathoggua awakens and chooses not to pursue his now-ancient vendetta after making contact with the remaining Hyperborean Serpent folk. They remain distant but cordial.

1.1M BCE - A population of Homo Antecessors arrive on the island of Lomar and begin spreading across the Hyperborean continent. They make initial peaceful contact with the Voormis and learn the ways of the new land, along with the worship of Tsathoggua.

Once established the Hyperborean humans begin to drive the Voormis out of their ancestral lands and beneath Mt Voormithadreth.

Some of the Voormi tribes head to the far north instead, encountering Ithaqua and his Gnoph-keh followers. There they rededicate themselves to the god of Borea and take the name of his alien high-priests as their own.

1M BCE - The glacial cycles of the current ice age worsen, freezing over Hyperborea. Gnophkeh and Windigo advance ahead of the ice sheet, ransacking and devouring everything in their path.

The Elders, no longer able to tolerate cold as well as their ancient ancestors, resort to artificially heating their Antarctic cities.

Some of the Hyperborean Serpents enter stasis to wait out the ice-age.

Miri-Nigri, in one of their cycles of activity on behalf of Chaugnar-Faugn prey on Homo Erectus. Through experimental Rites of Consumption they become more like the humans, loosening the grasp of Chaugnar-Faugn. The resultant humanoid species are known as the Tcho-Tcho.

900K BCE - The Serpents of Mu make a war of conquest to reunite the scattered Serpent people under the banner of Valusia once again. Some Serpent civilizations are crushed and others maintain their independence but overall Mu is successful, becoming the center of a new global Serpent empire. Their civilization is at its height both scientifically and magically.

800K BCE - Beings from Yag arrive on Earth, fleeing oppression on their homeworld. They settle in the tropical jungles of eastern Thuria.

The land of Lomar is home to the last remaining descendants of Hyperborean humans. Its capital city, Olathoë, is destroyed by Ithaqua’s followers. The Hyperborean remnants die out soon after.

The Greenland Icesheet finishes rolling across Hyperborea, leaving almost no sign of their civilization.

700K BCE - As global temperatures continue to drop artificial heating becomes prohibitive. The Elders begin deserting their remaining cities, immigrating to the warm underground sea they discovered beneath the Kadath mountains.

Neandersovans split off from the human evolutionary tree.

500K BCE - Valusia-Mu falls to internal strife exacerbated by the influence of the Lloigor. Humanity spreads across the Muvian continent and the Lloigor transfer their attention to the early kthatan culture.

400K BCE - Antarctic shoggoths wage their final war of freedom, wiping out Elder remnants.

393K BCE - Humans discover the island continent of Atlantis.

200K BCE - The Naacal people of Mu flourish with the worship of Shub-Niggurath and the thousand gods.

The Lloigor are cast out and their stones are scattered across the Earth, far from Mu.

Recovered Fungi technology and artefacts from mount Yaddith-Gho are put to use by the Naacal.

The Serpents of a new Valusia on mainland Thuria engineer their human slaves as a superior servant race. This proves to be a disaster as after a few generations the vastly higher population of superhumans overthrow their masters and take the kingdom for their own. The Valusian humans become known as the “Elder Race” to unaugmented Thurian humans.

The Serpents fragment completely, spreading over the known lands in secret, avoiding direct conflict with humans.

180K BCE - A supply of fossilized Fungi space-lift pods allow the Muvians to develop crude flying vehicles. They use them to explore nearby lands and begin colonizing the west coast of Quy, particularly in the south.

The Muvian colonists found the Seven Cities of Gold, built with Tulu and Fungi artefacts. The Fungi occasionally come in the night to take Tulu and recover their technology, becoming vandalous boogymen to the people of Quy.

173,148 BCE - In the year of the Red Moon Ghatanothoa becomes supreme god of Mu.

161,844 BCE - when the wizard-priest Zanthu attempts to awaken Ythogtha, unknown entities attack in the form of burning pillars. The blow shatters the coast and deals massive damage to the province. Wildfires and earthquakes spread across the continent, killing thousands and throwing Muvian civilization into turmoil. The initial devastation is just a prelude as Mu begins to crumble into the ocean.

Zanthu and some of his priests escape the destruction and travel to the Tsang region (central asia). There they discover the Plateau of Leng and build a monastery within the extradimensional bounded space. With their god dead or trapped beneath the ocean they turn to worship of Cthulhu and Yog-Sothoth.

The destruction of Mu has massive knock on effects as earthquakes and hurricanes ravage the Thurian continent.

The Quyan settlers are devastated by the loss of their ancient homeland. Convinced the Fungi are responsible after thousands of years of fear and superstition, they tear their cities apart and rebuild underground.

160,000 BCE - Quyan explorers discover the Dreamland-like cavern of K’n-yan, connected to both Yoth and N’kai. With its surface-like conditions it seems like the perfect new location for their waning subterranean civilization.

With constant exposure to the radiation from blue-litten K’n-yan, the colonists begin to develop psychically.

150,000 BCE - After thousands of years, the sorcerous order descended from those who escaped the destruction of Mu with Zanthu learn the secrets of immortality. They become the Kuen-Yuin, the Deathless Sorcerers.

100,000 BCE - One of the empires of Atlantis falls to shadow warfare with Serpent infiltrators. They make no attempt to forge a new Valusia, instead they use the formation of a new human empire to deeply insinuate themselves into its nobility.

80,000 BCE - With ages of study within Leng and their worship of Yog-Sothoth the Kuen-Yuin discover gates to deeper realms connected to Earth. They spread their order to Dho and Nha, raise the hidden city of Yian-Ho and even find their way to ancient Shamballah.

65,000 BCE - The Satyrs of Leng are enslaved by the Moon Beasts.

Shaurash-ho, a Satyr shaman, creates a ritual of transformation to aid in their rebellion against the Moon Beasts. The Satyrs who join him become the first Ghouls.

The Ghouls are driven from Leng after their rebellion. They spread through countless Dreamlands and make their way to the waking world.

50,000 BCE – The “Pineal Man” evolve in south Thuria. Their civilization advances rapidly but they are driven to extinction as their strong connection to subspatial forces invites frequent predation from Beyond.

40,000 BCE - After many cycles of civilization the people of K’n-yan re-emerge, seeking contact with the people of the outer world. The sorcerer kings of Atlantis become their trading partners on the surface.

Neanderthals cease to be a distinct subspecies due to frequent interbreeding with other human races.

36,000 BCE- Humans and wild canines enter a mutualistic partnership.

The Ages of Man - Humanity expands as cosmic forces wane

24,000 BCE - Atlantis begins to sink when its capital collapses into the ocean. Although it is blamed by the survivors on Black Magic, it is being pulled down between two separating tectonic plates. With their capital gone, the Atlanteans descend into barbarism.

With Atlantis in decline the people of K’n-yan begin losing connection with the surface again, aloof to the comparatively savage outer world.

20,000 BCE - The human countries of Commoria, Grondor, Kamelia, Thule, Verulia and Valusia dominate the continent of Thuria. The Kumari islands (one of the possible “Lemurias” identified in theosophy) are to the east, Atlantis and the Pictish islands are to the west.

19,000 BCE - The Thurian countries are in full decline.

King Kull of Valusia discovers and destroys the secret Serpent Lords that had infiltrated human nobility in an attempt to return the land to their rule.

18,000 BCE – A great cataclysm strikes the Earth as the Thurian continent breaks and reshapes into something close to its modern geography. Atlantis, after ages of slipping down into the sea, finally sinks, leaving only the small islands of Bal-Sagoth and Poseidonis. The survivors travel far to the north of Thuria.

The K’n-yani accept refugees from the cataclysm, before sealing all but the most secret gateways between the outer world and their caverns. They believe the cataclysm is the work of the space-devils, the ancient evils of their Cthulhu-centric creation mythos.

15,000 BCE – Crom-Ya, an early Pre-Cimmerian, is the most successful conqueror of the age and is deified as the god Crom by his descendants.

13,000 BCE – Northerners take the land of Acheron and found the kingdoms of Aquilonia, Argos, Brythunia, Corinthia, Koth, Nemedia, Ophir, and Zingara. This is the beginning of the Hyborean era.

11,500 BCE - The Clovis people travel across a land bridge to the far north of Quy. From there they spread across the land, the first humans to inhabit these lands since the K’n-yan quit the surface world.

10,000 BCE - The last overt city of the Serpents, Yanyoga, is destroyed by Cimmerian raiders.

9600 BCE – Aquilonia, the shining jewel of Hyboria, falls. Soon after another great earthquake seizes the continent, reshaping it to what we know today as Africa.

9500 BCE - Before the Black Lotus is lost forever in the fall of Stygia the Kuen-Yuin transplant it to the gardens of Yian-Ho.

9000 BCE - The Tcho-Tcho people settle in Ai-Lao-Zhar in the Singu region (south-east Asia). They become known as cannibals for their need to consume human flesh to maintain their forms.

7500 BCE - Cats domesticate humanity, offering their hunting services in exchange for care and worship.

6500 BCE - As the ice age ends, rising sea levels drown Doggerland.

5400 BCE - A Zarrian scoutship is shot down by the Fungi over North America. Although disabled the ship remains largely intact and most of the crew survive. The Zarr begin to cycle time in stasis, locking down their still-shielded craft and maintaining a skeleton watch to wait for rescue. They make contact with early indigenous humans and trade curiously dense and sharp stone for blood sacrifices.

2,700 BCE – The Egyptians begin building Pyramids.

2622 bce - The Pharaoh Nephren-Ka calls the Mighty Messenger to Earth. It assumes his form and the name Nyarlathopis.

Plagues and misfortune sweep across the sands of Egypt as Nephren-ka engages in Nyarlathopis’s cruel games.

2613 bce - Nephren-Ka takes refuge in his tomb, carving the prophecies given to him by Nyarlathopis into its walls. When the tomb is breached, he ritually sacrifices himself and the entire pyramid is launched into space. His name and deeds are stricken from the records.

2539 bce - The Yellow Emperor of China tasks the great musician Ling Lung with creating a flute that can summon the Birds of Carcosa.

2184 BCE - Pharaoh Nitocris becomes friends with Ghouls after they rescue her after her boat sinks in the Nile. Attempts to bring them into the light of Egyptian culture has her driven away and her name removed from history. She resurfaces hundreds of years later, now a Ghoul herself.

1,000 BCE – The K’n-yani find a way to overcome the aging of their human forms.

And that's enough for now!

Next time we'll cover the Colonial Era of humanity and its secret wars, the rising of R'lyeh and the fall of Earth. If we have any time after that, perhaps I'll go into the spread of pan-humanity into space, the formation of the Tsan-Chan and post-human evolution.

See you all for my next lecture!

Oh boy, that was a doozy! I've had various drafts of that in the works for literal years! Even now I'm paranoid that I got something majorly wrong or that it has something self-contradictory in there but I think it's time I posted it.

Also, just as a disclaimer there are some things that will majorly disagree with the other timelines out there. I've got my own headcanons and some stuff I just outright changed or purposefully omitted (like anything created by Lumley).

This can be considered a companion piece to this one, a simpler and much more visual timeline
