Description There is a hidden world, floating within the gaseous envelope of Saturn. It has a breathable atmosphere, forests of fungi, fields of humming mineral cacti, lakes and rivers of liquid metal and a wide variety of animal life. It is a fragment of the planet Cxaxakluth, torn from its surface and used to carry its native biosphere across the universe. Along the way it came to be inhabited by refugees from several other worlds.

Hziulquoigmnzhah is the lord of Cykranosh. He is Tsathoggua's Uncle and eldest of the Cxaxakluthans in the Sol System.

Cykranosh is also home to small populations of sentients. There are the practical and atheistic Bhlemphroims, who have an unusual method of reproduction. The Ephiqh are cheerful but parasitic, burrowing into the fungi of Cykranosh and leeching from them until their burrow turns to dust. Ghlongh fear light and are never seen on the surface, their presence only made known by deep croaking from underground. The Ydheem are related to the Bhlemphroims, although they have a slimmer form and more pronounced cranium. Finally there are the philosopher birds, the Djhibbis, who make solitary roosts on mountaintops and bellow the sacred syllables of the cosmos to each other.

Notes: I love how the whimsical and goofy Hyberborean tales are almost universally accepted to be part of the Cthulhu Mythos. Sometimes mad science and malevolent alien gods need to balanced out by idiot wizards on a roadtrip or a game of sacrificial hot potato.

Also, I'm pretty sure Hziulquoigmnzhah is the hardest to spell name in the entire Mythos.

Is Hziulquoigmnzhah intelligent too, or just one of those idiotic but powerful beings?

He's definitely intelligent. In the story he appears in he briefly converses with a the wizard Eibon, mostly in an attempt to correct Eibon's pronunciation of his name.

Lol.

I actually tried pronouncing his name quite a few times after seeing this. Not sure if I came even close. But it seems possible, even for a human tongue.

Djhibbis looks a lot like Earth birds, incredibly rare chance of convergent evolution on other worlds?.

Yeah, it's convergent evolution. I also didn't have much to go off, their physical description isn't anything more than "apterous and Stylitean bird-people".

Man, y'ever feel like CAS was just randomly pushing keys on his typewriter with some of these?

Granted, the Bhlemphroims are clearly named after Blemmyes.

Sometimes. Then again, Voormithadreth looks like a keysmash but it's actually Voormi's Address with a lisp. It's enough to make me wonder if there's some underlying reasoning to all of them.
