Description Oil on hardboard. 60 x 40 cm.

The first of two water studies from Orivesi. I was aiming for Monet, but methinks this ended up looking more like 19th century Finnish realism. The grass in front could be better, but that's what you get if you haven't done enough grass.

Sold only minutes after our end exhibition had opened.

The water looks very well done. I could tell right away that it was water from first glance. Not many artists can accomplish that easily.
