How do you know? I believe you are judging a book by it's cover. I'm 100% emo, yet I have not cried since I was eight. The only time I ever whined about how much life sucks, was when my twin brother died.

Other people at school don't seem to understand, being emo isn't a bad thing! I get asked AT LEAST four times a day "Do you cut yourself?" and I always reply "I'm emo, not suicidal. There's a difference. Learn it."
