Dude it was insane... I've always been emotionally detached and shit 90% of the time and when she was born i cried more than her and my fiance combined. Not to mention i was shaking like i had fuckin palsy and the doc literally ordered me to sit the fuck down before i passed out.

Okay. It took me a few moments to literally recuperate from the intensity of the last few pages.
So...I'll just say...I don't know what kind of comic I was reading before, but this book just went CRAZY INSANE ANIME OVERLOAD in under 0.5 SECONDS!!!! It's like I'm reading a totally different comic, and I LOVE IT!
SERIOUSLY...the quality level of the last 7 pages SPIKED significantly. Everything from panel composition, to colors, to pacing, to angles/shots...it's all suddenly becoming very cinematic, what I've always wanted to achieve in my own work and eventual comic, which just got that much closer to getting started on because you've seriously motivated me to get my arse in gear!
This is great, Van. I really don't have the words to express it. But that fight scene was super intense! The lighting was SPECTACULAR and really emphasized the ferocity and importance of the battle.

I think what made this scene different from a lot of the previous pages (other than it being a colorful fight scene) is that I spent a lot more time than usual with layouts and multiple sketches before beginning the actual pages themselves. The result was that, by the time I was inking and coloring, I had a much tighter grasp of what I was making.
But if the results are fun and inspirational to other artists, definitely it was worth the effort! Thanks again!

Gogo just realized she hallucinated that entire epic battle. And I know you're gonna ask "what about the crater?" Well dear readers let me just say this. Armenian. Real estate. Scam. So many people are being impressed by all the character development between Gogo and Andy, or Gogo's past and powers, or where Didi is. that they're not paying attention to the real story here. One of corruption and manipulation, back alley deals and under the table bribes. Yeah maybe Gogo has crazy kaiju powers and 1v1'd a super soldier, but no one's asking why? One obscenely wealthy family that we've already been introduced to destroying land to continue to make space for further housing development in Juno Grove. Corning the market! Outsourcing jobs! Stockpiling the wealth! Something stinks in Juno Groves and it's not Gogo's breath.

I feel dumb that not one part of me even considered Safara for any of this. I blanked on the woman that has fire powers because I was tunnelvisioning on Gogo's mom. Derp.
Nice to finally see Saf in action, even if it was uhh...yeah. She sure seemed to beat Gogo pretty easily. I can see why Gogo is scared.
These pages were excellent. Particular favourites are the last panel of 102 for the intensity and detail of her face, and panel 4 of 105, for the contrast of demonic rage monster Gogo and the angel on her back. The horn made of light is also really neat.

This Gogo-bomb sure left alot for us to unpack.
Firstly, nice seeing some Safara action. Clearly in some antagonistic role towards Gogo, but considering Gogo was a literal monster wreaking havoc, she's not necessarily a villain. Maybe Gogo's the bad guy?
Second, that blue "spirit" that came out of Gogo's back, is that supposed to be Didi? Are there two separate consciousnesses inhabiting the same body, or one amalgamate consciousness of Gogo and Didi? What will happen to Gogo when Didi is born? Or is Didi separated from Gogo already? I was thinking that flying punch Safara was landing at "Didi" might've separated her and Gogo. Is that why Gogo's going back to the crater, to find Didi?
Maybe Safara already has Didi and is contacting the galaxy police to take Didi back to Jurai or something. Then she's gotta find Mihoshi, wherever she's wandered off to... Typical Mihoshi, amirite?
Gogo's expressions in this strip were really nice too.

One month later Didi has somehow managed to improve gem-compatibility and output for the Galactic Police's capital ship fleet while simultaneously becoming besties with the King's two wives, both of whom are now scheming to see Didi and Tenchi get hitched. Y'know…just another day in the Empire of Jurai.

AHH! I would have waited an eternity for this moment. It's over Pri...... Whops! Wrong IP material. Seriously though, an eternity would have been worth the wait for this. Where to begin with the adulatory compliments? Firstly, I completely understand, as to why these panels took an additional frame to complete, due to their inherent visual complexity. I mean...HOLY SHEEP DIP! These are without any demonstrable doubt, the single most visually extravagant and sprawling series of pages that you have ever produced, Van. Bar none.
I honestly did not think you had the artistic mettle in you to produce panels like these. Boy! Did you ever f**king prove me wrong. Wow! You can practically feel the kinetic energy explode right out of the panels. The momentum is relentless; metrically, the mark of truly great action paneling is relentless momentum. It's frenetic fury, given form, and it's absolutely fantastic to behold. This is an exceptional achievement. Well done!
And finally. All speculations, rumors and innuendos can be laid to rest, as to how Gogo was physically scarred.
Was this an elemental battle? And if so, are Gogo's powers elemental in nature?
