Description
Yes. Some of you have seen it already. But now I've got permission from deviantART to post movies DIRECTLY ONTO DEVIANTART, so I can post my little animation here now.Animated in Flash
Music is Angevin by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)
Dragon shout sound is from Skyrim but I've mailed Bethesda and they said they're okay with it.

I watched a lot of lockpicking video tutorials before doing the animation, and if what they say is true, then looking at the lock does absolutely nothing. ; )

Aaaaaaah, fine work. Good bit off animation, fluid and brimming with personality. Let me just start off by saying I like what you've done with the overall storyboard, its cheeky and lovable and the cartoon-eque design of the characters lends itself well to it ( Speaking of which, the style reminds me just a tad of Samurai Jack.) Another good point is the frame-by-frame pace and the overall fluidness of the animation, the brief pauses between motions give you just enough time to fully take in and enjoy what is happening, and the quality on the more critical motions is higher than you'd think ( For example, that slide past the guard. Doesn't look too complicated at first sight, but I bet there's a whole lot more work in it then you'd say at first glance. The same counts for the slight nuances during the lock picking ). Big plus: The facial expression and overall expressiveness of the character. There's a lot you can read off her movements that hint the to cheeky, slightly cocky nature of a Khajiit doing what they do best, being sneaky. The facial expressions take the first price on things to praise, they are just plain awesome.
I donβt have a lot negative critique to give, since I'm not that voiced in animation. The music was a bit plain, although cleanly looped. Certainly not bad, since it was fitting. It was just, Ok. Not great or noteworthy. Perhaps there was a slight bit of detail that could been added to the parts with a whole ton of movement ( Like the dash towards the door or during the shout ) But that would have been a lot of time that went into just tidbits off the video, didn't hurt the presentation overall. Purely personal suggestion but you could have made a joke off there being another locked chest behind the door, prompting a fitting response from our Khajiit masterthief here ( AKA TABLEFLIPS ) though I will admit that would have been clichΓ©. All in all, I enjoyed this animation allot. Keep doing what you do man! ( P.S. : If I may pose a question, how long did you take to animate this? )
