Description
One of the PC's for our new campaign we lovingly call C-Team. This one is all about all good things that go bump in the night including undead, demons, cultists and more spooky stuff. Huzzah!
Name: Caravelle Stonebreaker
Race: Elf - Painted Elf Subtype
Sex: Female
Age: 125 (this is a recent adult in elf years)
Class: Paladin
Religion: Dol'Arrah
Setting: Eberron
Caravelle my sweet pally of Dol'Arrah, I love you so muccchhhhhhh.
Caravelle was found as a child by a family of dwarves, the Stonebreakers. Her adoptive mother, Myrrah, was a cleric of Dol'Arrah and her father, Gruundyr, was a banker. They were traveling from the Mror Holds to a town in Thrane called Tellyn to support an encampment there. On the way they found little Caravelle alone and without any trace of her people. She was picked up along the way despite their wary situation and was given as best of a childhood her parents could muster. They did what they could to enrich her with practices and teachings of her heritage but, of course, the dwarven personality easily blared through. Regardless, Caravelle grew knowing of her colorful parents love and was eventually given a sister, Beryl.
Looking up to her mother, Caravelle followed in pious steps and went to Rekkenmark to study under the worlds best military academy. Any warrior of any denomination flocked to these doors in hopes of making through rigorous training tailored to both human and elf alike. Elven classes varied to those of shorter lifespans resulting in her residency of 15 years before she completed her studies (as opposed to a humans standard 5). During this time she trained alongside with many others including a particular classmate named Luciano, an aspiring inquisitor. Unfortunatley this particular classmate is the reason for half of her missing ear all due to an unfortunate sparring accident. Since then he has sworn off bladed weapons.
Caravelle completed her training and donned the title of a Paladin of Dol'Arrah. Her focus rested upon community finding strength to be the greatest among the people. She does her best to be fair and just and is typically pretty easy-going but when she gets fired up her dwarvish comes out, accent as all. Most of her motions are generally elegant due to her elven heritage while the clunkier side of her comes when she is drinking and carousing. She's not afraid to go to brutish lengths to accomplish her goals including headbutting and drinking competitions.
Oh, and you bet, I play her with a french accent (I do my best anyways) but when it comes to irritation she picks up a more scottish accent.
Oh! She also uses two swords much like the Witcher. One normal longsword for monsters, one +1 Merciful Calling Longsword for people she does not want to kill.
Annnddd Caravelle has a thing about tattoos. The painted elves are, well, painted, and that interest has bled through into hers as well. The face tattoo is one she has had since she was very young, but she does have more that are usually hidden. Dol'Arrah is often depicted as a red dragon upon a cloud and Cara often refers to her as her "Red Lady" so the dragon motif has followed. On her left arm, her sword hand, she has scales with names of individuals that give her strength. On the right, her shield bearing hand, she has names of those innocent who were unfortunatley lost in her travels. These souls are not to be forgotten and shall be channeled to grant strength to defend those she will encounter in the future. Finally, Caravelle likes to dye her hair. Pink is certainly not her natural hair color and each level I plan on having it change to something new.
Currently in the game she is acting as the handler for the inquisitor and holds Valravyn in her charge. One fun fact about the world: due to the inquisition led in the past by the silver flame, inquisitors are assigned to paladins of Dol'Arrah in order to keep them in check. It is their duty to make sure that history does not repeat as these particular indivduals tend to be... volatile... with their passions.
