Here are the Megatron's gun renders. They don't look as great as they did in the Shockwave renders, which is weird, since I used the same lighting setup. Must be because these are close ups or something. Anyways, this mode uses more toy accurate detail limbs, as the regular limbs would make it over detailed looking.Related content

I don't like the Classics Megatron design. I understand the need for him not to look like a real gun, but surely they could have more or less kept the original transformation scheme.
I also don't like the Universe Galvatron design. There was no reason to change HIS altmode, and on top of that it's an inferior design to the original toy!

Yes, but at a distance where it can't be seen clearly that's no good if it's coloured like a real gun. There's a lot of street gangs who pull this absolutely nasty stunt of tricking kids into shooting cops, so the cops need to be able to tell for sure whether or not the gun is real from a distance.
