For a moment, she isn't only in the lawspeaker's kitchen, but somewhere far away. A moment too soon past...So I decided to experiment with not overworking stuff. The result is that it feels underworked of course xP Also, watercolours because I've wanted to use them more for a while and then ~Wursu purchased the trade paperback with the original run of Books of Magic and the Hellblazer chapter was even more pretty than I remembered and *TILT*
...
SO yeah anyway! For a little while she was happy. And then he just had to ruin it all, again! These two are rather complicated people.
Saskia belongs to *PetStudent , Said (or rather his shoulder and hair I guess) belongs to me. Title is translated from the original Swedish, tagline is more freely translated xP derp herp!

I like the atmosphere and setting in this one. The colours blend really well and the shading looks great - I particularly like how you've shaded her torso, but the entire dress is pretty.

And thanks *^__^* I wish I had managed to get some more contrasts in but it seems I sacrificed them for texture. Someday I'll learn this...! some day...

It's so very, very cute. And the colours. And the not-overworked-shadows under her arm and the skirt and the light and.... *squeee* Especially the light, I think. It's totally the right colour for mostly candlelight in a whitewashed room (including some inevitable soot on the walls!). And also her dress and did I say shading and...!!
I'm not sure -which- part of the kitchen that is, but if there isn't such a part of the kitchen already, I should rearrange the furniture and make one. It's a great part of the kitchen, apparently.

It's part what I remembered from the Onion pic, and part what you actually drew on the onion pic xP Checking references -after- drawing the entire image wasn't very clever on my part. But I wanted to draw the kitchen door. And dammit, the pic is slanting too far to the left. Maybe I should fix that.
