Male Tree Swallow
A lucky shot from Sandy Ridge Reservation. Used Autofocus to get the bird in focus (while he was still sitting motionless) and changed it to Manualfocus, so when he took to the sky it would not distract the focus ring.

Wow, great shot, these are tough birds to shoot! They're so fast and dark colored, my shots always come out an underexposed blur! I am going to try your auto-> switch to manual method

Yeah, Tree Swallows are incredibly hard to shoot...luckily at Sandy Ridge they perch often, so I have time to set up a shot.
