Oh ho, man oh man, am I happy with this one.

So the story goes...last summer, Mr. Chris Sanders started a tutorial project just for us deviantArt folks, and went into extremely deep detail of just how much hard work and planning goes into every image he makes. We got a glimpse into his methods, his madness, his psychology, everything. We got an exclusive lesson from the man himself, mister 'I made Lilo and Stitch,' mister 'hope you also enjoyed How To Train Your Dragon.'

But as is the case with many people in his position, duty calls. The front lines of storyboards and light boxes summoned him to Hollywood no man's land where, aside from the occasional letter we receive from the front, we can only assume he is battling full force into delivering another phenomenal blockbuster ass-kicker to us. Lo, the tutorial stopped just after the inking phase, right when he got to my territory. Painting.

I'm a huge fan of his work, and doubly a fan of his willingness to teach us his sacred ways. So to thank him for the tutorial, I decided to try my own hand at painting on his image.

Really hope you like it, sir! The tutorial was a real inspiration, a true testament to what makes you the best, and how we newbies still have a loooooong way to go before achieving your level or artistic enlightenment!
