Fabulous shot! The town is just adorable, like you'd see in the movies. Is that Zakopane? The only thing that could have been better is if the snow was undisturbed, but I guess you had to get there somehow.
It makes me want to go there for some good kielbasa followed by some pączki!!!

Thanks No, Zakopane is on the other side. It wasn't me to disturb the snow, but some other people and, unfortunately, I couldn't change it.
To be honest, I have eaten none of it, but kwaśnica - very tasty and local dish.

Well of course now you have to post the recipe. I'm a pretty decent cook, if you ask my family.

Sorry, I don't know the recipe - I ate a lot of this soup, but I don't know how to cook it. Only polish highlanders know.

I'm actually making a shrimp stock right now, but that's going to be used to make rice to go with my stir-fry tonight. Maybe I can google your soup recipe.
Ever have czarnina? My grandmother used to make it. I forget if it was for a special occasion. I wouldn't eat it when they told me it had duck blood in it.

My grandmother does it very often. I don't like it, but I love kind of dumplings which she gives with czarnina.
But I love kaszanka - I don't know if you have ever had it. It's also made from blood, but it's tasty
