Description
The rumbling of the clouds overhead
calls attention to the impending storm
like a bugler rallying his troops for a coming battle.
The wispy, free-flying clouds seen earlier in the day
are swallowed by a sea of black & grey as
the sky rumbles & churns like a giant mixing vat.

Then, without warning, it strikes.
With a thunderous boom, the sky is split in two
by a jagged blade of light.
A torrent of water is released from the heavens,
the vicious downpour soaking everything in sight.
The fierce winds howl with the ferocity of a pack of wolves,
ripping a path of destruction
through forests & suburban streets alike.

Then, as quick as it began,
the storm is over.
