Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Nintendo 64 2000)

In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Link was cursed by the Skull Kid and his form was disfigured. However, he would later learn the Song of Healing, sealing his cursed state into a mask. He can use this mask to return to that form, and later uses the Song of Healing to ease two weary spirits and take on their likeness with corresponding masks. These transformations come in great handy in his journey.

The forms include:

Deku Link, where he takes on a Deku Scrub form. This is smaller and lighter than Link himself and cannot swim or tolerate fire. However, he can blast high out of a Deku Pod and briefly levitate until he gets to a high (or safe) landing. He can also spit bubbles with magic and drop Deku Nuts from above (bomb's away).

Goron Link, where he takes on the hero, Darmani's form. This is larger and heavier and cannot swim, but can tread through magma. He can also roll around, but also extend spikes with magic while rolling, at great speed, I might add. His punches are deadly and he can carry a Powder Keg (with proper licensing).

Zora Link, where he takes on the guitarist, Mikau's form. He is taller and can swim at incredible speeds, and uses magic to conjure an energy barrier. While on foot, he can use the fins on his arms as blades as well as boomerangs. However, he is very susceptible to fire and ice (he is part fish after all).

However, none of these forms can ride Epona.
