Description
I'm in one of those moods again.Somewhat inspired by the book Ptolemy's Gate by Jonathon Stroud. *sigh* such an ingenious book . . .
I am truly proud of this. I think I've come a long way in the pen and ink department, not to mention anatomy. But that's not the only reason I like this so much. Not sure why, but ... this seems very personal to me. *shrug* I didn't plan this at all. It just sort of happened. Despite the subject, I don't feel particularly depressed or angry. In fact I feel pretty good about life just now. Ah well.Your interpretation is as good as mine.
Upon typing this, I must also share the unfortunate news that my beloved pen, Winston has met his end, giving his life for art. He was a good pen and a role model to all that knew him. Such trageties are inevitable, but life goes on. And he will be remembered for years to come, whenever I look upon this picture. Rest in peace, my dear Winston.
I can't even give you an estimate on how long this took me ... after I started I completely lost track of time. Anyways ... enjoy.

Holy cow O_o That's one freaky looking demon. What type of inking pen do you use (brand/size)? I'm having difficulty finding a good inking pen to use. Great work as usual!

Umm ... It's umm *picks up pen and squints at label* Z-Grip. Doesn't say what size, but I'd say 0.5 You can get them at Wal-Mart in packs of 25. Really I just use any cheap pen I can find, however I find that gel-ink (you know what I mean?) pens aren't very good for this kind of think when you're using them to shade etc. I use the kind that gives a lighter stroke when you hold it at an angle. But if you're just going to be using it to outline drawings, You can use whatever the heck you want.
I hope that helps, sorry I was a bit vague.
And thanks so much dude! I'm just about to go and look at all the new stuff you added.

I don't know why, but sometimes colorless drawing look so much better than colored pieces. This is one of those times. The shading is some of the best I've ever seen without a computer. Hell...even with a computer. Great work!

Yeah, black and white gives a certain feel to a picture, sort of makes it seems more "serious". And, aww thanks! It took me a great deal of practice, but I think I've finally gotten the hang of inking.
