Description
My attempt at concept artistry stuff, from uber failure to goddamn lucky shot! hahahaI used references, but these were the main two tutorials that helped me:

youtu.be/r4t7rO-nhOw
As I was struggling to move my whole sketch process to digital, I decided instead of trying to replicate exactly the feel of drawing traditional, I would just experiment with explicitly digital drawing processes and go from there. So even though my focus is still comic/manga (which mainly work with line drawings), I tried to learn more about the workflow of concept artists, because it really amazes me how effective they are at painting complex stuff. So I thought maybe I could learn how to be more effective digitally from it and then adapt it to my own process and what I wanted to do.
You can see that I start horribly, but then after a few tutorials, I started realizing how painting was way more relaxing and fast to me than linework, and I just had this astronomic improve in the middle of it. I was still failing at drawing interiors as you can see in the further attempts after that one, but it opened my mind that I was too stuck on how I usually sketch and I should try new ways of starting a drawing. I usually practice many ways of finishing it, but not many ways of starting it, so I changed my focus to that instead, and realized how a lot of the trouble I give myself later comes from how poorly I set my start. Anthony Jones talks a lot about that, so I bought a lot of his tutorials on this matter and I really recommend!!
So here is when I start some kinda weird experimental phase and mash it with my usual studies, later I'll post more stuff of this quest hahaha
