Description
Made with Bryce 5.5.Head mesh: [link]
Just threw a head inside of an elongated sphere and got this interesting result. One head, one sphere, two lights. Thanks for having a look!

Do you mind if I make some logon-screens using a few of your walls?--I actually have made one before, when I was at Belchfire, using 2 of them ("Reactor" and "Mindgames")---and I did give you credit then, and put up links to your gallery. I'd do the same here if you didn't mind.
I'm really good at making the logons now, the Vista-for-XP and the Se7en-for-XP style ones. A friend at Belchfire taught me how, taught me to use Gimp.
I've still got my Bryce, and all my objects/presets, but haven't used it in ages.
I plan to make a ton of logon-screens soon, but don't want to have to create all the wallpapers for them myself. I'll make some, modify some pre-made, and hope to use some people's here (with permission, of course, and props to them). Plus I'm going to make more user-pics to apply to logons, you know, resources, and custom "branding" (XP Home, Pro, MCE, DeviantArt Edition, etc.)...

Go ahead if you link back to me! No problem! I know a bunch of people on here that can help you with things like that
Some hang out in the chat
You know that Bryce 7 PLE is free? It's the newest version sans some of the new cool things like HDRI and instancing, but it's a far cry from Bryce 5.5. The link is in my chatroom, I'm heading there now and will be there for some time tonight

Are there really three, or is it just one, flanked by abstract mirrors?

It's one head, the one in the middle, then I surrounded it with a sphere that I pulled into an egg shape, then added a mirror material to the sphere and pewter to the head. There's also two lights inside the sphere.

You still have to design the head and mirrors and position the light sources. People think the computer 'does it all' somehow, but my own early experiments with quaternions and 2-D fractal sets indicated the need for much patience and discernment.

It's not as complicated as it seems, but yes, as with anything, it takes patience to do it correctly.
