The presence of 'non-white' characters in Golden Age comics wasn't as prevalent as today's comics, even if many do believe it's needed more (and the intention here is not to discuss that). And when they got it, the roles perhaps weren't as the desired, as usually are of the sterotypical kind or worse

'Worse' can be actually to be a villain and the one we are to introduce here fills that role. She is Alana, from a story focused on Captain Terry and the Congo,Lancers, a group whose stories appear in Jungle Comicsm in this case, the #62 (comicbookplus.com/?dlid=24720 ).

In the story, Alana is the villain of the tale and hires Keeto, a local warrior, to end Terry Thunder and his lancers, a group of (white) soldiers who patrol the region to keep it free of any nuisance. The plan includes Keeto trying to apply himself as lancer as ruse, but his respect for Terry made the plans go awry

When deciding to take the things with her hand, she finds a quite surprise waiting for her. And it's not any good
