true, actually, gohan was meant to be the strongest, after gokus day was up, and he went to the kais, and gohan had his powers unlocked by the old kai, that was supposed to be how it ended, with gohan beating super buu, but fans where complaining and wanted goku to be hero again so yeah

His mother was far too controlling of him. In all due honesty, if Goku had not died, he most certainly would have become the incredibly powerful level 3. However, he was almost equal to SSJ3 Goku once he became Mystic.
