Sonic CD and Sonic 3 and Knuckles are my favorite old school games of all time!!This was actually for the Sonic CD contest held by SEGA
I didn't win 
but it was mainly for fun anyways I'm not very good with backgrounds and its actually my first time drawing Metal!! I got sick really sick the week of thanksgiving so I didn't get to do a very good job and looking at it now, there are a few mistakes in here! So, I know it's one of the most common scenes to be drawing the race/battle scene, but the music, the gameplay and the zone, is everything I loved about the moment from that battle
^^ The scene was inspired from the ending scene of the game! And if you haven't played the game, I highly recommend it!

I LOVE THIS (and I honestly can't understand why it didn't make the finals...) If that's your first time drawing Metal than holy crud, seriously woman. I was never that good when I first drew Metal Sonic, or that accurate. The layout of this picture is really REALLY well executed, and it's loads more accurate than my old picture of the race that I did. I ALSO AM IN LOVE WITH THOSE BUILDINGS, it's EXACTLY how it looked in the animation!!!!! <3333333 AND THE SPOTLIIIIIIIGHTS!!!
I get nostalgic from this, it captures it PERFECTLY. There are few that can grab the atmosphere of the race for me, but this one does it. Instant-fave-HOOWAH!! <3<3<3

One of the artworks up there was something that was stolen so I was slightly disappointed by that :C

Someone thought it was stolen at first but it just turned out the artist who did it ended up submitting this piece (even though it technically breaks the rule cause the artist did this piece before the contest was even announced)

Thats what I meant, yeah, I was the guy, it wasn't just because it was uploaded before the contest, it was because of the fact the guy lives in Brazil, and he uses a different online name to the one he gave to SEGA. So you can see why I thought that, and I wasn't the only one after who thought it either.
