Cool Design! Wondering about the functionality of laser cannons while craft is in FTL mode... The speed of light is constant, not relative, and could not travel faster than its source... Maybe tachyon cannons?

Well, I'm thinking combat only occurs at non-FTL speeds, and mostly in a planets gravity well.
