EDIT: I got over myself. C: I'd love any constructive criticism you have on this. I'm an absolute beginner with any type of painting and can use all the suggestions and tips I can get.I wanted to digitally paint even though I hate digitally painting.
I've been lacking ideas and motivation lately so when I have a burst of inspiration I just jump on it.I've been forcing myself to draw, so this is the product of a quick "painting" session brought on by listening to [link] I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, so I kinda just fucked around with colors and decided against blurring everything in the end.... It looks a bit globby this way, but I guess that's better than fuzzy. This took.... An hour at the most.
My original intents were not to draw Pathogen here, but to do a painting of a person instead. ;A; But this and that happened and I couldn't get a good construction drawing down, so I scribbled Pathie down and winged it.
Sometimes when I look at this is like it, and sometimes I don't... Definitely need more practice with digital paintings without lines, but I think my drawing and composition class helped.
Fairies or glowies or whatever Pathogen is summoning are fun to paint. Her claws were fun to paint. The background was fun to paint. Everything else lost its appeal and was not fun to paint. And I don't even KNOW what I did to screw up that badly with all her blood-spit 8C
But hey, at least Pathogen doesn't have her usual cocky grin, right?
In... all honesty I don't want critiques on this at the moment. Once I have a chance to analyze it better myself and get out of this weird funk, I'll open them up. Just not right now.

Alright, I really like that you've decided to do a digital painting, since it can be a really great thing to explore <8 And what you've done here is not bad at all. I don't know what that brush is called, but it's one of my favourites to use because it's perfect for making visible brush strokes--and in this piece, I think it's a really good effect. c8 Although, you probably could have "tightened up" some of the areas--most notably, around where her horns and claws meet the black. The best way I can describe it is that right now it looks almost like a blurry photo--you want to aim to make it look more uniform.
I gave you points for creativity and impact because Pathogen is such a unique creature, and seeing her in a more... sensitive light than usual is definitely something. The concept itself has been done before, but that doesn't personally bother me too much.
All in all, I think you did a very good job with this--the different colours in the shading and highlights bring a lot of life into this piece, the look in Pathogen's eyes (the red ones in particular) seem captivating, and the blood is really nicely shaded. I definitely think that, considering you don't normally paint digitally, you did very very well with this. Awesome work!

Ah, I totally agree with what you said about the tightening up. I could've made it a lot cleaner.
