This is just stunning.
I don't know if I'm reading too far into this, and forgive me if I assume wrong..
But this devianation reminds me of abandonment, like the dog was told to sit and stay during a walk, because the owner wanted to get rid of it, fast. Or, maybe, the dog is waiting for a walk and his/her owner was murdered, or kidnapped..
But it also symbolizes hope. {I think.} Like, the dog still adores their human, and hopes for their safe return, even if they had abandoned them, or had to be left behind.
But like I said, I could be reading waay too far into this, and could be assuming wrong. But, thats just what I see. I also think this deserves a DD. {Still my opinion.}

it reminds me of the story of the dog in japan who would meet his owner every day after work at the train station one day the guy had a heart attack at his work and died but the dog stayed there in tell he died they have a stachue of him were he stood waiting

It reminds me of a book I read about a kid who finds a dog on the beach who's owner told him to stay and just left. The dog flips out every time he hears the word 'stay' because he thinks he'e being abandoned.
