I've been offline for almost 9 days because of a Hard drive crash... so I'm just starting to try and catch up from being away from DA... thus, I just stumbled across this image... Okay.. "wow" image is great... ignore the people with critics, I love the lighting just the way it is...
But then My eyes fell on the Hasselblad... OMG... OMG... I can only dream of owning one!... I keep visiting their website and drooling... (sigh). I am very happy for you and envious... (grin). You deserve it man!... your work just keeps getting better and better! With this 'toy' you will jump way ahead... Nice Purchase!

Very nice color choices in this one. I love the contrast of that over-saturated red against the white washed lighting

Nice pic, and excellent new toy! Hassies are much more difficult to use with people than film or digital small cameras, but the rewards are worth it, and I love the square format. So cool, and so croppable if necessary. J:

agree...either film and printing get a bit expensive here ^\

Too true. I like to shoot film and then scan to digital prints. Saves cash and also gives me immense control. I shoot 2-1/4 roll films in a back for my 4x5 now. I got broke and sold my Hasselblad systems several years ago and haven't replaced them - but I'm too old to carry them around anyway. I used 500c's professionally for almost 20 years and never had a problem, even after I fell and dropped it onto a rock beside a river. With models, the trick is to anticipate the movement and press the shutter button long before you expect the pic to be taken. Some models are harder to anticipate than others, but you'll get the hang of it with experience, and the results are worth the trouble and the cost. -J:

Im just learning how to use my full frame camera properly.

unfortunately, the white flash/diffuser has completely washed out your face. you look like you're wearing vampire make-up.

love the presense of the color red against the dark tones of the model and the light of the background. classic.
