It's like a photo taken with orthochromatic film, which is insensitive to red light and therefore emphasizes skin tones. I think one can get the same result in digital with a cyan filter, though I've never tried it. (I think I read that somewhere.) Maybe try a few shots with such a filter? Were there any unusual settings or filters used here?

The contrast between his magnificent body, the sweat, and the dark background lends itself to darker fantasies of damp, despressing dungeons where young, Russian students dissidents were treated to the best the KGB had to offer; call it 'Tales from the Lubyanka.' I seem to have gotten carried away.
I like the way the sweat clings to his hair, and the way the shadow cast on the navel invites you in to its depths. This is truly a Russian Flesh Feast!
