Description
7h painting of an architectional scenery.Tried to work with different textures.
Background:
Inspired by Tsutomi NiheiΒ΄s manga story: Blame! which takes place in a endless megastructure that is randomly build by uncontroled construction machines. The machines used the whole earth as raw-material to build, the megastructures ends reached the moons surface and are still expanding. Silicon creatures (mix of cybertech and biomechanic lifeforms) inhabit this surreal landscape. Very few humans live in small secured areas.
This is my imagination of the structures ends. The lightsource is actually the sun.

Great composition...and the fact that you also cite Blame! as inspiration tickles me pink. Dunno why I didn't watch you sooner. Consider that fixed.

I love the little people. It gives it a totally different feel from the endless people-less landscape of the Netsphere.

Thanks man! But i guess one of us has a wrong understanding of the megastructure
I thought the "netsphere" is out of reach for everyone who does not possess net-genes.
Even at the end of the manga-story you donΒ΄t get a clear idea of what the "netsphere" actually is or look like.
So i think what you mean with "netsphere" is the megastructure itself
P.S.: Oh i love these discussions about Blame!

My apologies, I don't know why I wrote "netsphere" when I clearly meant to write, "megastructure."
