Description

The barn owl (Tyto alba) is the most widely distributed  species of owl , and one of the most widespread of all birds. It is also referred to as the common barn owl, to distinguish it from other species in its familyTytonidae , which forms one of the two main lineages of living owls, the other being the typical owls  (Strigidae). The barn owl is found almost everywhere in the world except polar  and desert  regions, Asia north of the Himalayas , most of Indonesia and some Pacific islands .[2]

Looks good! You always do well with their faces

Thank you I love painting owl faces! I suppose once I get some sort of cintiq, I can demonstrate full bodied works more often.

Why would you need a cintiq for that?

I work on a very small screen right now so my options are limited.

I don't see why you can't do bodies just the way you do faces, but alright. It's just a matter of zooming in and out, isn't it..?

I have a small macbook air that I work on, and its processing speed is also slower with layers. The resolution on my desktop monitors at home are great, but I prefer the mac os to Windows while working. I have a thunderbolt adapter but the color calibration even when adjusted is still quite off, so I stick to my small screen for its quality. I have a touchpad as well, that is strange for zooming. Either way, my most recent pieces attribute for more owl! I suppose it would also make more sense to say I often use references and align my windows vertically side by side in the application for precision, so my small screen is cut in half as well. So I have about, a 5 x 5 square of actual canvas to work with. I might invest in a touchscreen (like a cintiq) later to have at least a 12x12 space, and keep a reference on my laptop with its proper calibration. That's about double the canvas space I have now. They are pretty mobile as well. When I paint, I often see only a small element on the piece, like an eye and its surroundings, or a left side and some feathers, etc. I will zoom out for proportion consideration of course. But anyway, I try not to concern myself with it

Alright. Of course, you have no obligation to paint more if faces are most convenient. I'm not trying to  imply that
