I vlonteered once in our local animal shelter (located in an old British army post) and held in my arms a poor pit-bull mix without any ears, obviously the product of a botched ear cropping, broke my heart.

yes I know..I have seen and heard many heartbreaking stories..the latest is the craze with that girl in bosnia who threw puppies in a river...google it..it is ALL OVER right now..and thousands of dollars of reward money to find her.
