Retouching is not as easy as it looks, & is an art unto itself. I am currently looking at this image on a calibrated monitor, & have to say right off the bat that it's far too orange. The highlight in your "after" shot is a little bit too exaggerated for my taste, & far too golden & glowing. This is indeed a beauty shot, & so the skin has been made perfectly flawless, props to that! But the color rendition is very off, & the glow is just too strong. Her hair gets lost in the background, you should try & bring in a little fill light next time, which would have brightened up the light on the face on it's own without you having to increase contrast & brightness in only that area. You did a magnificent job on her eyes, her skin, & bringing out what little you see of the make-up. Next time, think I little more realistically when it comes to color & lighting. Good job overall!
