I love it! The lighting and the execution are excellent! And I know that the original concept is much more profound and beautiful, but I would just like to have one so that I wouldn't have to choose between red and green anymore!

The concept I read through this is "Forced Mongrel".
We don't know which one represents reality and which one represents dream. Both halfs are from the same nature (they both exist in real life, they are both apples). So they are both equal.
It would may be clearer if one of the halfs is colored in blue or violet for example, I guess ^^

Wow, a really popular image already and I just happened to stumble upon it using random deviation. But what fantastic use of concept, colour and a visually very pleasing, clear image. The quality in fullview is gorgeous, the whiteness makes the apple stand out that much more and just.. What a wonderful idea. Taken to a higher level.
