I particularly enjoy how you took something that has been done before, but made it different and new and your own. It's not a new concept combining two halves of different colored apples or mixing different kinds of fruit...but you added new elements to what is an old concept, you did a good job of it too.

I really love this picture but (as I am discussing with a friend in AIM) I find it hard to pinpoint just WHAT I find so amazing about it. It must all just generally be fantastic.
I really like the visuals of the apple/s and the human being chained/bound together, what that could symbolise and mean seems so deep and makes me really think about how we're connected to the earth and abuse it.
I also just really love the look of the apple/s. For some reason those two pieces look so perfect fitted together, even with size/colour differences and those big staples.

though the two concepts this seems to be made of are somewhat unoriginal and painfully overused, I feel that the additions to the concepts are somewhat admirable and intriguing to look at...

deserved? when will people get its not an award, its simply a staff feature. No different from when someone features you in their journal. Seeing your feelings towards twilight, you seem a bit biased due to it, to see the ingenuity of this piece perhaps?

if you're referring to my signature, it's simply a response to someone else's signature, which said the same thing, but with "you've not read twilight?" instead of just "you've".
This image takes the concept of the twilight cover art, and mixes it with the seemingly over-used stapling of two types of apple together. I just feel that it isn't exactly the best example of creativity.
Well Excuse me for seeing Daily Deviations as an award/reward of some kind. though it should be understandable, because it's basically a pat on the back saying "well done, someone thinks this is worthy of higher recognition and praise!"
My "feelings towards twilight" had no ill effects on what I saw in this image. I just think that creativity and skills should be highlighted in Daily Deviations.
Have you gone around and said this to everyone who doesn't feel it was a "deserved" DD? Or do you just feel like saying it all to me, because of a signature.
