What are the raptor things? The original idea for the zombie?

The raptor things are from previous doodles for my "Fiendish Amalgamation" illustration. I make it a habit to go back and sketch up any old paper with unfinished doodles.
Original idea for a zombie? Not really; more like completely different concept. While most zombies in video games and movies get nastier because of vast numbers, these zombies instead get nastier with the more eletronics they can assimulate. Think of them as kinda like a cross between the Borg and the T-virus.
