I lost interest halfway through. Sorry I'm such a lazy bum.This is Tetis, a MoTD from Sailor Moon. Remember her? She had a big crush on Jadeite. This outfit was on screen for maybe... 15 seconds? That's way too fast, Tetis! She had about four different costumes in just one episode. That's more than Sailor Pluto, I think.
It was completely unintentional but somehow I made her look almost exactly like Abby from NCIS. It's kind of disconcerting, actually.
Anyway, this was a request on Tumblr because I felt like practicing digital painting. I may move it to scraps, but I really like how it looks. Maybe I'll finish it instead.

My favorite Youma, I agree with you that she did indeed feel like a fully fleshed out villian, with her own desires, feelings, and history. Its pretty rare to see that in a monster of the day (or as I like to call it - Freak of the Week). I think one of the few other times in Season 1 was the spirit of the deceased young girl who could turn into a monster (not youma) during the hotsprings episode.
I don't think I've ever seen fan art of Thetis in her Qi-Pao, this is looking really cool so far! You should definitely finish it, I think the completed picture could be really awesome! I would really like to see that

At first I didn't make the Abby connection, but then when you mentioned it I was like CANNOT UNSEE CREEPY ABBY NOW
in any case, she's got a great combo of cute and creepy Uncanny Valley Girl going on, and I like the use of shading, especially to create her nose using it rather than lines
