Description
The "Paradox Hunters", Shock Troops or Blinker Soldiers, as they are variously known, are what can be considered an Axiomatic analogue to the elite infantry or heavy power armor operators of other factions. They are normally tasked with confronting asymptotic paradoxes: paradoxes that are so evolved and virulent they have created their own military. Paradox Hunters are thus built to extreme standards, as they are meant to mow down weaponry and soldiers created after axiomatic weaponry patterns, which are already capable of inflicting tremendous losses on their equivalents in other factions. The key of the Blinker Soldier lies in its very structure, as they are not made of baryonic matter. Instead, an infinitely folded, infinitely thin "sheet" of condensed spacetime forms their body. The fact that they have solid bodies is only a secondary byproduct of this extreme warping of spacetime, as at the microscopic level the folds produce atomic analogues that can interact with outside matter. This effect has been named "Parasitic Matter" and serves to anchor them to the physical dimension, though it also means damage can be inflicted on them. The internal anatomy created by this folded membrane is vaguely humanoid, exhibiting the properties of carefully-placed elements in its chemical composition, resulting in most of their "organic" body having the physical properties of superplastics, alloys and metallic glass rather than flesh.
This spatio-temporal manifold that makes up their physical body can be folded and unfolded in various ways and in various dimensions, allowing them to form wormholes at will, project low-power Tau fields, warp space around them, merge into one another and split, giving them exceptional mobility and tactical flexibility compared with regular ground troops, and earns them their name. They can carry a variety of weaponry, though usually fight with high-powered particle beam weapons.
As parasitic matter is one of the rarest and hardest to create materials in axiomatic territory (with the only two operational factories being Histrion and False Sovereign), Paradox Hunters are quite rare.

EDIT: decided not to be a lazy bum and color it

If was me who had created these guys, I would just make them shock troopers using some form of heavy stylized power armor -- all this thing about "asymptotic paradoxes", "bodies made of folded space" and "axiomatic territory" sounds like BS to me. Β

Thanks, you are right that this version was too esoteric, I appreciate the honesty

By the wayΒ I have been wondering other then rogue AI what else does the axiom fight, independent human worlds, aliens? And what is the axiom diplomatic policy, conquest, making economic alliances, or isolationism.Β

Ah, what made you stop? I know that early builds of games have a habit of going a direction some don't like.

Nothing about the game itself, I just moved back to Belgium and for a long while I didn't really have time to play, then I just got addicted to Kerbal Space Program

It is whole metric tons of fun with lots of possibilities and stuff to do in game, probably one of my favorite games of the year and one of the few examples of early access done well.
