I like very much what you've done to Dean's sketch in this variant. The colours/tones you chose to use work wonderfully and I'm a fan of the subtle gradients you have scattered around. I also like the highlighting on the hair - those areas would probably have been shaded by a different artist, so I enjoy the fact you chose to lighten rather than darken. It's individual. My only critique is that it should blatantly be pink

A pink version JUST for you, is planned for this week. My critique with this piece is that my "highlight" work in the hair is a little choppier than what I'd like. Thank you very much for the thoughtful comment.
One of the oddest things I discovered while making this piece, is that in the Print version which is about 7200 px square, all of the stars show up, but when I reduced size down to fit for a Wallpaper, one of the stars refuses to 'show up', as if I had hid the layer, even though I didn't, and even though the particular layer/star shape - is of large enough size (larger than 2 of the other stars which are only about 30% the size of the missing one) to be viewed...

Heh, I appreciate it. The hair doesn't look very choppy at this size, and smoothness will come with practise.
As for the star, I sometimes have layers disappear because Photoshop simply decides it doesn't want to play anymore, but it usually shows up when I flatten the image. If you flatten and it still doesn't show up then you have a very strange issue there.

I wanted the focus of the viewers attention, to be on the woman, not on all of the extra elements. I'm considering adding more elements for a personal WP version, but it wouldn't be for public release.
