Rich loved exploring old places, abandoned, derelict houses, castles, farms, and even ruins. He loved connecting to the history through touch, feeling the stones and surfaces as he explored. Eventually, he pushed this further, removing his shoes and exploring barefoot. From this, he had started a vlog and gained a steady number of followers on social media.

Today, he was exploring an old gatehouse to a monastary. the monastry had long since vanished, but the gatehouse remained. It had almost been lost to history and was hard to access. He parked his car and had to on foot for a couple of miles through an old woodland and across a heathland area.

But at last he arrived at the impressive old tower. It was fairly run down, but you could get an impression of its once magnificent grandeur. He got his GoPro ready, removed his boots and socks, and entered the tower.

The old stones were lovely and cool on his bare soles. he explored the small ground floor before proceeding to the winding spiral staircase in the north corner. the steps went up and down into some sort of dungeon or basement he presumed. he took the stairs up to start with.

He arrived into a well lit stone floored room. There were a couple of niches cut into the walls. he explored these little annexes. as he passed back out into the main upper chamber, he was stuck hard in the back of the head and thrown to the floor.

He turned around and backed up aginst the wall, fear taking over... he was frozen to the spot. He always imagined in these situations he would lead some valliant testosterone fuelled fight, yet he couldnt move a muscle. The sight of the large masked figure looming over him, with a syringe in his hand, had frozen him in terror.
Rich began pleading, begging. But the figure approached, and grabbing one barefoot in an iron grip, plunged the anaesthetic into the exposed flesh...
