It was morning. Everyone ate all the leftover berries from last night and were satisfied. Audre and Rose were racing. Rose was surprisingly fast and beat Audre every time. After they were done Rose looked completely fine and Audre was still trying to catch his breath.
"How do you run so fast?" asked Audre.
"I don't know," said Rose. "It feels so good to run."
"Yeah," said Audre. Rose smiled and Audre smiled too. Emily and Audre looked at them and then at each other.
"You know the only way she could go so fast," said Emily.
"Yeah," said Adrian. Audre and Rose ran some more. Then, Emily and Adrian went over to them.
"Do you two want to do some battle training?" asked Emily.
"Yeah," said both of them simultaneously.
"Okay," said Emily.
"Rose could you come with me and Audre you can go with Emily," said Adrian. Both Audre and Rose nodded. Then, Rose went to Adrian and Audre went over to Emily. Then, each of the groups went in opposite directions. Emily and Audre stopped in a clearing in the forest.
"Okay. First we're going to start by learning what attacks you can use," said Emily. Audre thought about it.
"I know tackle, tail whip, quick attack, and sand attack," said Audre.
"Those are some good moves. Now I should show you how you can use them," said Emily.
"Okay," said Audre.
"With tackle keep your eyes on your opponent and then charge at them with your strength. Now try it on me," said Emily.
"Okay," said Audre. Then, he focused on Emily. He didn't take his eyes off of her. Then, he charged at her. But right before he hit her she moved to the side and Audre skidded to a stop.
"That was good and what I did was dodging. It's a good thing to learn because it can help you a lot in battle if you dodge the attacks may not hit you. But you have to be care of which way you go and how you do it. Some moves can be hit right back. I want to show you a move," said Emily.
"Cool. Which one?" asked Audre.
"Shadow ball," said Emily. "Watch me do it." Emily aimed at a rock and then concentrated onto that one point. Then, a blackish, purplish sphere appeared in front of her. After that she fired it and the rock was smashed to pieces.
"Wow. That's some power," said Audre.
"Yeah. Now you try," said Emily. Audre nodded.
"First focus on your target," said Emily. Audre looked at a different rock. He aimed at it.
"Now put all of your energy in one point," said Emily. Audre focused his energy into a spot in front of his mouth and a blackish, purplish sphere appeared. It was small. Then, he focused more power and the sphere got bigger.
"Now fire it at your target," said Emily. Then, Audre aimed at the rock and then he fired. It hit and the part of the rock was shattered. Emily came over to him.
"That was good,"said Emily.
"Yeah. But I didn't get as good of a result as I wanted," said Audre.
"It's okay. Just keep working on it and it'll be even more powerful," said Emily.
"Thanks," said Audre.
