                                           The Hunters

I was in shock. My best friend Aleshia had gone missing. She had been my best friend since I was six. (I think I know what happened though. The hunters must’ve taken her.) I thought, sitting on the steps of the school. It was the only explanation and it went with what happened earlier today.

I had been at school and it had already ended. Aleshia, my friend Daren, and I had been talking. The Hunters had kidnapped someone last night. That person was found to be dead. We were talking about it.

“Did you hear about last night? Another person was found dead,” asked Aleshia.

“Yeah, I heard Kory is gone. Then, he was found dead,” I answered.

“Y-Yep. I heard about it. I-it was pretty bad,” replied Daren. I nodded.

“W-well, I have to go. I have t-to do homework,” continued Daren nervously.

“But we didn’t get homework in class today,” replied Aleshia.

“I-I just have to go!” exclaimed Daren before he rushed off with his blue school bag.

(That was earlier though. Our town, Silvia is a strange one though. It did feel like someone was watching us. I know what I need to do though. Aleshia is missing. I need to go find her. The most obvious place would be the old warehouse. Nobody goes there so it’d work as a hideout.) I thought. Now it was getting dark. Night was beginning to fall.

“I don’t care that it’s getting dark! Aleshia is missing and I have to find her! I’ll do whatever it takes,” I exclaimed. I got up and ran from the school. (Hopefully they haven’t killed her already.) I thought. That just made me want to get there quicker. Not long I left the school I felt like someone was watching me. I stopped and looked around. When I saw that no one was there I continued on to the old, abandoned warehouse. It was dark and ominous as it got darker. There was no moon and the stars barely shined. I could tell I was getting into more than I was ready for.

The walk to the warehouse was a trip in itself. Each turn I was expecting one of the Hunters to grab me. It was bad enough I was alone, but the darkness was a problem too. It made me worry and more alert of my surroundings. (I’m almost there. It’s just down the block.) I thought. I quietly dashed over to the warehouse.

The warehouse was dark and large. (Okay. Here I go.) I thought. I walked into the building. It was a mid-sized room. There was a long, dark hall. It looked like it went on forever. But that didn’t hold me back. I ran down the hall. Then, I heard whistling and I looked around. Goosebumps came all over me. (I need to keep going.) I thought.

I continued running down the hall until I came near the door at the end. There was no other way to go. I opened the creaky door. The room was ominous like the rest of the building. A chill went up my spine. I breathed in a big breath. (Here I go.) I thought.

When I walked into the room a hand covered my mouth.

I'm sorry but your long dude made me crack up laughing. Your comment made me think if Jack the Ripper. It's the same concept. Kills a lot of people and isn't caught.
