The next morning Emily padded over to Audre when he was awake.
"Why were you in the medicine den for so long?" Asked Emily.

"I can't tell you right now. But you may figure it out later," said Audre.

"Okay," said Emily. "I can tell you're enjoying it here. It's just that I'm waiting for Gardevoir to accept us. If she let Keeran train you Gardevoir has most likely accepted you."

"Yeah," said Audre. They sat outside the apprentice den. The sun was just coming up, shining through the clouds. Everyone started waking up. Violetfur waked over to Emily.

"Are you okay? I heard about you getting hurt yesterday," she said before turning toward Audre. "I also heard that you healed her. Nice work."

"Yeah, I'm okay. Just a few marks," said Emily.

"Thanks. I started helping her and asking for things before I knew what I had been doing. Then, before I knew it Emily was okay," said Audre. "I-I had felt someone with me while I was doing it. They whispered to me, encouraged me, helped me."

Violetfur looked at him and then at the cloudy sky whispering something that no one heard. Then, she looked back down.

"If you and your family keeps it up Gardevoir may accept you into LightClan," she said with a smile. "Now, Audre Flower wants to see you in the medicine den."

Audre nodded and went to the medicine den where Flower was waiting for him. Violetfur padded off and Emily closed her eyes. She felt something stiring inside her. Then, Kimi stood beside Emily. Emily opened her eyes.

"Are you okay?" Asked Kimi.

"Yeah. I-I just feel wired it's like something inside me is stiring. My front left paw feels like its on fire," said Emily.

"Maybe you should look at your paw," said Kimi. Emily lifted her paw and turned it around. On her pad was a marking.

"A black flame," said Kimi. Emily nodded but her eyes were full of worry and fear. Kimi looked at her but she didn't say anything. Then, it started raining. Some of the pokemon rushed back inside the dens. Emily let the rain go over her fur. Kimi sat beside her. But Audre didn't dare go out there. (Why does rain have to be so pure?) he thought. (Water from pure rivers doesn't hurt me but rain does. It makes no sense.) He reached out and a drop fell on him. His paw moved back in reflex from the sting. Emily and Kimi came into the warriors den. They were soaked. She turned to Adrian.

"Why didn't you come out into the rain? It helps refresh you and calm you," she asked.

"Rain water is pure. It hurts me because I'm a vampire. When I touch rain water it stings," admitted Adrian. Emily nodded. Soon she and Kimi dried off. In a few hours the rain stopped and the clouds cleared. Violetfur walked into the dens one after another ending in the warriors den. She walked over to Emily, Kimi, and Adrian.

"Gardevoir would like you to come to the gathering," she meowed before going on to the other pokemon. They looked happy. Keeran padded over to them.

"What's a gathering?" Asked Emily softly.

"It's a time when all of the clans meet to discuss stuff about their clans. It's a good way to meet pokemon from other clans. There is no fighting among the clans during it," he said. "You'll need to be ready before moon high so we can leave." Everyone started getting ready. Emily took off her jacket and groomed her fur. She set it on her bed.

"Your leaving your jacket," said Emily. She looked at his bed. "Your leaving your bandanna."

Adrian nodded. They went outside to join the other pokemon that were in the clearing, getting ready for the gathering. Keeran and Sabre were side by side. Audre stood by Flower and they talked. Then, Gardevoir went up onto a tall, large rock. Flower and Violetfur fallowed beside her onto the rock. The rock glowed and glittered in the sunlight.

"All pokemon old enough to catch their own prey join beside the glow rock for a clan meeting," called Gardevoir. Warriors and apprentices gathered beside the rock while queens and young pokemon watched from the nursery.

"Audre," said Gardevoir. Audre walked up in front of the glow rock and sat down looking up at Gardevoir. Flower stepped forward.

"Pokemon of LightClan, as you know, I won't be here forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. I have chosen a pokemon who has shown kindness and intelligence. Your next medicine pokemon will be Audre."

The leader looked at Audre before asking, "Audre, do you accept the post of apprentice to Flower?" Audre swallowed.

"I do," he said.

"Then, at the half-moon you must travel to the Moonstone to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine pokemon," said Flower.

"The good wishes of LightClan go with you," said Gardevoir. Flower leaped down and touched noses with Audre. The pokemon gathered around Audre congratgulations him and wishing him luck. Keeran and Sabre walked over.

"Congratulations Audre. Good luck going to the Moonstone and being a medicine pokemon," said Sabre.

"Thanks," said Audre.

"I knew you were destined to be one the second I saw you heal Emily yesterday," said Keeran. Audre smiled and Emily, Adrian, and Kimi walked over.

"Good luck," said Emily.

"Thanks," said Audre. Flower walked over.

"We had to do it before the gathering. You will make a good medicine pokemon. Tonight you shall sit with the other medicine pokemon and medicine pokemon apprentices at the gathering," she said. Audre nodded. Gardevoir came down from the glow rock. Soon after she led the way through the forest to a clearing with a flat stone ground. Around them were four rocks. One for each clan leader. Their clan sat beside it. Audre and Flower went over to some other pokemon, that were medicine pokemon. Emily, Adrian, Kimi, and Keeran sat beside one another. Gardevoir went onto the rock beside LightClan. Across from it was a rock with a female absol on it. Then, there was a male nedoking on top of it and across from the nedoking was a rock with a male charizard on it. Many pokemon were talking with other pokemon. The charizard silenced everyone with a wave of his tail.

"May I speak on BlazingDesertClan's behalf?" He asked. The other pokemon on the rocks nodded.

"Well, BlazingDesertClan is strong during this good spring. We have three new apprentices Ember, Lava, And Desert. Also the spring of water has given us water. The sandstorms come everyone in a while but they don't hurt us," said the charizard.

"Thanks Emberstar. DarkClan is fairly strong as well. The prey is good. We have a new warrior Midnight Firefang. Night Darkclaw had two children. Our clan is growing well," said the female abosol.

"Thank you Nightstar. I have news we have had attacks from both BlazingDesertClan and DarkClan. They attacked our patrols for no reason," started Gardevoir. Calls of disagreement came from the two clans.

"We've welcomed some pokemon to shelter in our clan til I agree for them to join the clan Adrian, Emily, Kimi, and Audre. There is also a new medicine pokemon apprentice, Audre. We'll make sure to check all our borders carefully," said Gardevoir. Emberstar, Nightstar, and Sandstar nodded.

"Okay," said Nightstar. That concluded the meeting as everyone went off the rocks and each clan left the gathering place. We arrived at camp fairly late. Everyone fell asleep quickly. Audre slept in the medicine den because he was the medicine pokemon apprentice. Modt pokemon slept until the light of dawn and pokemon started waking up and moving around.
