Emily ran through the forest. She stopped by a tree. The sky was fully dark. Emily felt and saw the shadow fire surround her. But then it burned her, hurting her, she closed her eyes for a few seconds until the pain stopped. She opened them and looked at herself. I haven't changed. She thought. Then, she looked next to her. The shadow fire burned there. Then, it landed on top of her, pinning her down. The shadows disappeared to reveal someone Emily knew very well. Her own Dark Side was on top of her. Emily was shocked. How could this happen? She thought. Emily threw off her dark side and got to her paws. Her dark side grinned evilly.
"Emily. I've been waiting for this moment for a while," said Emily's dark side.

"How did you do this?" Asked Emily.

"Over time I've been slowly building up power. I let you use me. Then, I gained up enough power to conjure up shadow fire and you can too. That meant I could leave you and become my own being," said the Dark Side.

"Now you have. What are you going to do?" Asked Emily. The umbreon faded into the shadows.

"Oh, you'll see," she said. Emily looked around and then was hit by a dark puse. Then, Emily used dig but a shadow ball got her out of the ground and flying in the air. While Emily was coming down an iron tail hit her and she hit the ground hard. Dang she's strong. Thought Emily. But I can't see her. Emily got up. She was weak. Then, Emily was forced back against a tree. Her dark form appeared and held her against the tree, chocking her.

"Can barely breathe," said Emily between tiny breathes. She cried tears going down her checks.Then, she saw Audre out of the corner of her eyes. Emily looked at him and her vision blurred as she fainted.

"No!" Audre called, running towards them. But then shadow fire consumed both Emily and her dark form. When it was cleared they were gone. Audre sat down and tears came in his eyes.

"No mom. I wish I could've said something. If only I had been here sooner," he said. Hot tears ran down his checks. When the sun came up partly Adrian ran over to him.

"Where's Emily?" He asked.

"Gone," he whispered.

"What?" Asked Adrian.

"She's gone," said Audre angrily before running off in tears. It's all my fault. I could've done something. Thought Audre.
