Ahh... nice to know that... pretty awesome... its just that the photos don't do your keyblades justice. I just find it awesome that you can get you hands on the equipments to make them that I probably only ever going to see in school. LOL

^_^ it says in the tutorial that i made my keyblades 39 inchs.
therefore your wood also needs to be a little bit longer than that for cutting.. so maybe 40

hunnykun1 In reply to ??? [2010-01-15 23:01:19 +0000 UTC]

also, (sorry) could you estimate how far down you sanded on hte handle part of the grip and the surrounding bat wing looking part?

Thanks

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

vvmasterdrfan In reply to hunnykun1 [2010-01-16 17:46:06 +0000 UTC]

you always want to make sure you keep the center of wood clear, dont cut in too deep. do not cut half way in. cut about 40% of the way in and leave the middle 10% alone. if you are unsure. start cutting on both sides of the keyblade,. that way you know how much wood you have left that you can sand down, so about half way down you cut, but not all the way half, otherwise youll cut too much

hunnykun1 In reply to ??? [2010-01-15 22:53:56 +0000 UTC]

so, question. I am in fact right in the midst of making this with your amazing tutorial
I was just wondering how you held your dremel to get such nice looking staright lines with the sander bit, without it actually bumping into the keyblade? Did you hold it up so that it just made the little deep cuttign lines or something else?

Thanks

QUESTION!!! I'm making an oathkeeper now and i got a 3/4 width plywood. How did you do the blade part. I mean the part where you are suppose to cut. aren't you suppose to make it connect to each other so it is like a blade? how did you do it?
Oh and BTW! I'm COPING YOUR OATHKEEPER!! IT'S AMAZING!!

vvmasterdrfan In reply to ureshine [2010-01-08 14:11:19 +0000 UTC]

thanks! im not sure what you mean but connecting to each other. the way i make mine is all one piece i dont connect anything

I actually do have question!
Is there a specific brand of dremel you prefer? I was looking at one and I started to wonder.

Thanks! ^^

vvmasterdrfan In reply to hunnykun1 [2009-11-19 17:13:20 +0000 UTC]

uhhhhhhh no >< lol i have no idea
i think black & decker is a good brand, i think thats what i have not sure.. but it really doesnt matter, you dont need to buy a fancy dremel either, just buy the attachments i mentioned in the tutorial

Oh I'm doing this for my Senior Project next year! (: This is going to help me graduate!!! but first, how many hours did this take you? PLEASE RESPOND! n_n

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

vvmasterdrfan In reply to Danixboi [2009-11-15 19:00:57 +0000 UTC]

uhhh maybe 150 hours total to make each.. so if you work everyday on it, it would take you two weeks
id love to see what youve made if you decide to make one ^_^
and if you do, please give me credit ^_^ <3

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Danixboi In reply to vvmasterdrfan [2009-11-16 01:29:54 +0000 UTC]

okay thats perfect! (: It needs to be atleast 15 hours of work. so thats plenty. I have absolutly no experience with making stuff out of wood so thats going to be a challenge. I'm hoping to take a workshop class at my school. when I do make one I will give the credit to you ^_^

I'm gonna have to try this. X3 This looks pretty doable for a girl too. I've already got a dremel tool so all I'd need is the saw. :3 Thank you for the awesome tutorial!
