Must admit I`ve practiced on seagulls and geese who come down when I feed the ducks - find the white/grey against trees is ideal unless it blows out.
I`ve found having a large card in the camera helps the most as I had to take a LOT before I was pleased with the results. Guess its just practice, haven`t put mine on dA yet - though no-one wants to see a seagull really and the raptor dieplays are away until Easter now - hoping that by then I`ll be better at it

Lovely shot, as usual from you. As for the dynamic you may try something more classic like panning. I'd keep the shutter about 1/500 and try panning with the subject, just like a race car. Faces are still a little distraction to the eagle, especially the one at the bottom, one cm to the left and down of the beak. What do you think?

hi! thx a lot for your comment. the eagle is not as fast as a racing car, so I tried a 1/60 f 7.1 to get the effect with an other background.

Ok, it is not perfect . . . but with some practice [link]
