I was over at 's house and he told me that my tablet was pressure sensitive. I had no idea! Also as a gift my friend got me Paint Tool SAI! Now I can actually draw with my tablet! So this is my first drawing done entirely, using only the tablet.I thought it would be cute to draw him pouting with his arms crossed. So enjoy!

keep it up and you'll be naturally good with generating generic stuff on your standard styles in 0.5 seconds like i do with my stuff lol

Thanks! It didn't make the me think that getting a tablet would make me any better. I just figured it would be much easier to draw on my laptop with a tablet instead of using the touch pad. For me the tablet is difficult to use but easier than the touch pad. With the new program though I can actually draw with it.

i would say the same thing when it comes to drawing traditional vs digital, but also you have to remember the simple fact that most of the things that you learn in traditional pencil/pen carries over to tablet... if you have the right settings on it...
for me it was sorta automatic, just got a little getting used to, still getting used to it.. i mean, it still feels awkward to look up instead of down on a paper lol

Well the problem is you can't actually see what you're drawing on, I mean I'll admit that no form of drawn art is easier than another form, they all take the same amount of getting used to, pretty much.
I wish I had a touchscreen laptop though...

actually those are worst.. touchscreen laptop.. *shivers* i admit that it be nice but the maintenance and precautions kinda out way the want or need for one... my thinking is how many times your going to shine it out before reusing it agian, and then worrying someone is going to use Windex on it and not clean it compleatly, .....
then all the scratches youd get on it for repeated use from if your using a pen styles...

The ones I mean are touch sensitive, you can use your fingers, like with the Nintendo DS. Anyway, its just like photographing pencil-drawn artwork and outlining them in GIMP anyway, so I'm not really missing out. My most recent two pictures were pencil drawn.
