Did anybody else miss these guys in Sonic Unleashed? I know Sonic was the only playable character, but at least Tails and Amy helped out. I mean, when Shadow was the only playable character in his own game everyone else at least made cameos to help out, its like these guys just missed a memo that a new game was coming out or something...Related content

I have "Sonic Unleashed" on PS3; unfortunately, I'm stuck on a night level. My goal in the game is to finish every level without losing lives so I can have a high score and a rank of A or at least B when I finish the level. I know that Tails was there, but I didn't know that Amy was there.

I actually hated the fact that they were left out in Unleashed (even though I think it's a good game).
Why would Knuckles be missing out? Since the Chaos Emeralds were drained of their power, shouldn't the Master Emerald have been affected in some way? And for that matter, what about Team Dark or G.U.N.? Wouldn't both groups be trying to fight off Eggman's robots and Dark Gaia's monsters?

EXACTLY, the only reason they were left out was because of Sonic Team over-reacting to fans not liking the other modes of play the other characters sometimes involved. Just because I don't want to play a shooter doesn't mean you need to axe Shadow all together!

If the only characters were Sonic, Tails, and Eggman like the fanboys want (apparently, they even hate Knuckles), the series would get boring. VERY boring.

Oh so that's why they never showed up. Sonic is the only main series game to not have Knuckles on the cast since he was introduced in Sonic 3.

My theory is that it takes place between Sonic 4 and Sonic Adventure.

Scaling the temples as knuckles,Rouge as an ally during night stages,Shadow being playable when you have to run to one of Dark gaia's eyes in the boss,and omega playable during eggman boss fights seems good

it was good tails was in it but they needed to atleast put knuckles in there even if it was just a few cameos here and there

I'm actually amazed that the oceans didn't pour into the earth's core, there must have been some magical process keeping everything on the continents. Actually now that I think about it kind of the same thing happened to Dinosaur Planet in Star Fox Adventure.

I missed them too i did wish they where in the game even before i saw this pic.
In fact Shadow & Knuckles where orignally going to be in the game and be playable but got scraped for unknown reasons.

uh,no and the reason why is if they made him playable hed be to hard to see in the night time,only the red stripes would make it easy,not only that he only went super once

he gets near the end,but he gets blocked by the electric fliers(dont know what thir called) or he runs in to the shilder ground version

You gotta be...If their over a gap in the path, he has to use them to swing across when they're not charging their attack. If not, kill them.
