When I saw this one, I framed the photo with my hand, simulating an exclusion the elbows and the twisted waist (to me, they are detracting from the good stuff), directing attention to the head, details on the face and the flying hair, the highlight on the right side of the model's face, the catch-lights in the eye, and also the triangle of highlight on the left side of the model = lighting well-done. These, to me are the qualities of a winning photo.

I did the same thing... i tried cropping in a dozen different ways... and then went with how I originally saw the image in the lens... I don't claim to be perfect with it... if you look through my port this shot is a true departure and something new style wise for me... so i'll be kind to myself... i'll do better i know.

LoL... I suffer the same kind of problem as well... Just gave up trying to crop some of my photos and went ahead with what I shot...
it's part of the learning process I guess.
So I guess we are just not perfect, but probably quite useful to share thoughts so we learn even more.
