Description
Decided to do a bit of experimenting today to relax. I was curious whether it was possible to come up with an onyx skinned drow in Poser and actually have them look right. The skin texture is a normal tanned texture from an MR I own, part of the challenge was to see whether it could be done without doing any work in PSP.
I think she turned out quite well.

Oooo black black black skin, I like that, though you can see to much detail. To often people draw them light grey.

Thanks a lot LOL now if I could only figure out how to do it with a standard texture I'd be all set

I like it! I *always* have a tough time with drow skin, but you really seem to have nailed it here...

Thanks, it was mostly a lot of experimenting in the material room. LOL I wouldn't wanna try and repeat it in DS, at least not without the shader builder

Nice work! I think drow are really really hard to get right, whether you're using solely 3D programmes, solely 2D programmes, or a mix. One of the tricks a lot of people use is to make the highlights of a particular colour (e.g brown or purple) so that the skin is a really dark shade of that colour rather than plain black with white highlights, although I think what you've done here works really well.

Thanks Other than a normal skin as a base, it was all done in poser's material room being creative with some of the math nodes.
