Anyway, one of my OCs, Mist, once worked as psychiatrist in an asylum, where he got assigned to care for a patient with very vivid acustic halucinations, which he claimed where the lies told all across Equestria.
Poor guy would babble random nonsense all day, but fall sound asleep just after sunset. That was also the only time of the day Mist wasn´t around him.
One day, Mist had his patient write down as many of those lies as he could, and as the books began to stack higher and higher, the writing began to become better, more organized and, over time, the patient learnt dealing with these voices and ignoring them when he wanted to.
Sure, Mist didn´t cure his hallucinations, but at least now, this pegasus can continue living a normal life. The two still are in contact, and while noone knows what´s really up with those two, even Pinkie knows not to try too hard to find out.
Seriously though, if Pinkie would try to find out what their deal was as hard as she tried to make friends with Cranky, her friends would have to pick her up from Discord´s place the next day...
