I've finally finished this. I've been working on it for the last few weeks. this is the first time I've actually used a figma for the reason I bought it: to use as a pose reference for drawing, and I'm really pleased with how well it turned out.drawn with watercolor pencils.

Are you just working on the GE? I'm not taking any art classes either, except for calligraphy, the classes available over here are very limited. and the calligraphy is extremely difficult for me because i am left handed.
the manga club here is awesome tho. they self publish their own stuff, and give it away for free at stuff like comiket. Hopefully i can contribute to it before i leave. I'm going to write a short manga as part of a final project for a media studies class too, which is awesome. i think i'll use that to kill two birds with one stone.

It was in the bargain bin outside of a game store in Akihabara. It's a special edition Haruhi that came with a game, when I saw the price I thought it must be broken or something, but no. everything's there, and it even still had the plastic on the joints. The game disc is perfect too, although I dont have a ps2 to play it on

Oh, your PS3 doesn't have backwards compatibility? D: Anyway, you ever been to a store called Mandarake? It's like a thrift store for anime stuff. Everything is pre owned, but in very good condition. The prices are amazing too. I've ordered from there before and the the description said there was box damage...but when I got it, the box was perfectly fine. XD I know there's one in Akihabara...anyway, you can look it up.

yeah, i've been to the mandarake at akihabara. for most of the stuff i saw the prices were higher than most of the small shops you can find there. they did have a really good selection tho.
there was only a small number of the non- slim ps3's that have backwards compatibility for ps2.

I'm willing to spend up to around $50-$75 dollars max. I would prefer not to spend that much though...only if it's a good deal.
You shouldn't get that Kaworu figure at that price.
Oh, there was recently a new Kaworu figurine that came out that would be nice if you kept an eye out for: [link] I've been trying to find cheaper prices of it and it's almost always over $100...if you can find something cheaper than that, it would be great.
Overall, I have a heavy interest in Nagato Yuki, Nagisa Kaworu, Asuka Langely, and Mari.

i got myself the nagato figma or like $15 a few weeks ago.
i noticed that you have asuka and mari on the list, but not rei, do you not like her? to me she seemed a lot like nagato.
have you watched fate/zero? it was really good.

Yeah, I know that Rei and Yuki are both dandere, but I never really cared about her. I feel like Yuki's character was more dynamically developed (especially in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya) compared of Ayanami Rei. I don't dislike Rei, in fact I think she's very pretty...but she doesn't do much for me. Just my own opinion.

yeah, i like nagato better too, even though her design seems to borrow a lot from rei.
if you think about, its almost like nagato is the opposite of eva. in eva everyone's consciousnesses merged into a higher form of existence, but lost their individuality, while nagato gained individuality by seperating herself from it
